Great product
This fin and box was installed on a 8’ SUP and works great. My grandsons are having a ball. Very solid once installed and the board runs true. Very good product and a lot cheaper than I thought they would be

Great design = outstanding product
The question "easy to install?" isn't quite fair, as fin box installs are a pain in the neck. But this fin box is a lot easier to install than the originals. Two features make the SBS box a gem, the ribs on the side of the box and the very thin tabs on top. These make the job much easier and quicker with a lot less sanding. The ribs allow you to place the fiberglass cloth inside the rout rather than over the surface of the box. The tabs that suspend the box above the fin rout are about 1/32". With the extra layer of glass and a thick surface tab eliminated, finish sanding becomes a breeze. Great design = outstanding product.

DO NOT BUY THIS FIN BOX! It is garbage.
The box I received was FAR too narrow. I did not bother to test fit a fin before installing the box because I have never had to in the past. Installed the fin box and tried to stick the fin in the box but no way it is going to work. I don't want to take material off the fin because it works great in my other boards. I need to try to find a decent way to take material out of the box. I should have just went to a REAL surf shop to get a box but I figured "It's just a fin box... they couldn't possibly screw that up".... It seems even simple products on amazon are JUNK. Save yourself the hassle and go get a real fin box from a real surf shop.
