95% of protein animal based. But what is the percentage of protein overall?

Here's what the package says: "Many competitive foods use plant-based proteins such as grains vegetables and fruits, leading to rapid metabolization which increases your cat's hunger. Animal proteins have the highest biological values. This food has 59.0% (min) crude protein. I tried this product when our kitten was 6 months old. Since she has no access to wild-caught food,  I feel comfortable that she's getting good protein. I'm very satisfied with this product and feel the cost is justified.

Question 2

My kitty has runny and super stinky stool on this food. Why is that?

Very common. Follow directions & add a small amount of new food say 1tbs daily & remove 1tbs of old food gradually. Take as long as you like & you can add less to be extra cautious. At least do this for 7 days to 2 weeks. However I gave it to my kitten with only 50% reduction of old food & he did very well & by day 7 was eating this exclusively in addition to canned food. This food always ranks as the #1 dry food with ALL reputable cat food reviews websites. Fyi, go to their website for 2 free small bags…just ask. Zero cost to you. 5 STARS!

Why would you put rosemary extract in a cat food when rosemary kills cats???

Because it doesn’t. A ton of cat foods and treats contain rosemary oil in them, dogs food and treats as well. It’s not a significant amount; just enough to be used as a preservative. Clearly if it was killing them it wouldn’t be in a whole bunch of foods and the AAFCO wouldn’t approve of its use. There would be a lot of felines dying every time they consumed a food containing it if it was the case. But it’s not.

Is this made from lab grown meat?

I don't believe it is.  It does meet AAFCO nutritional profiles for all life , stages, doesn't use by products or meal, and natural preservatives.   I am a curious cat about lab grown meat in pet foods.  Can't wait to research, thank you!
