Sturdy, heavy and holds a lot!
The shelves arrived on time. The delivery guy was grunting a bit by the time he made it up the stairs to my apartment, so that told me it was heavier than I expected. The box was heavy!! My daughter and I opened the box right by the front door and moved the pieces to where we were going to assemble the shelves. The shelves did not go together in 10 minutes like some were saying because we had one metal bar a tiny bit bent. We also later decided it would have been easier to have put it together outside, on the concrete rather than inside, on the carpet. It does make it more difficult to put it together on carpet. Don't be like us, find a tile floor, the sidewalk outside, anything but the living room carpet. That being said, we got the frame together, moved the frame to where we wanted to shelves to be and placed the particle board shelves in place. I was a bit sad that the shelves were not thicker, but they seem very sturdy, so time will tell if they should have been thicker, or if they are just fine. We loaded it up with small kitchen appliances, stepped back and were very pleased.

Far better than any other shelves I've purchased.
These are great shelves. Price is reasonable and they are very sturdy and don't have the grating style shelves like other models where small items can slip through. They are good flat boards and each shelf supports a large amount of weight without issue. They are also very easy to put together. Not sure why so many people commented that they found it difficult or not intuitive. There's a YouTube video that is only 3 minutes long that shows exactly how easy it is to put together and that includes both variations of assembly (full shelf or the workbench). You do need a mallet, but that's the only tool required for assembly. Bought 10 of these. Put them all together in about 4 hours.

Well made and sturdy. Wobbles without a lot of weight and greasy/stinks out of the box.
I got these shelves for my office in which I work on computers. They are well made and very sturdy. There are two ways to set them up. One is the way it is pictured, and another is as two separate, shorter shelving units. I have them set up as two separate shelves. I only have two complaints. One is that if you don't have a significant amount of weight on them, they wobble and the other is that they are covered in some kind of grease or something. When I opened the box, every piece was covered in this smelly grease so I had to clean every part before I put it together. Even if I used this in my garage I would have cleaned it.

Went together FAST and EASY
I had opened the box late at night just to see the quality of the parts with no intention of putting it together. Then I decided to just do the first couple steps to see what I was in for, then head off to bed. Before I knew it, the whole thing was assembled. I was expecting a thousand screws, nuts, bolts and washers but there was literally none of that. It did come with a couple screws for people that chose to anchor it to the wall, but other than that the only tool I needed was a rubber mallet, which the instructions suggest. I do highly recommend having a rubber mallet handy because I can't imagine doing this without one. Total build probably took me about 25 minutes, and thats including the time it took me to change my mind about the distance between shelves and re-do some of it. No hassle whatsoever. Material quality seems high, although I have not loaded it up yet. I did move it a few feet and it's very light considering how much weight it is supposed to hold. The shelves themselves are not "wood" but a composite of wood chips and chemical glues. Thats not really a complaint, but just don't expect dining room furniture appeal. As I was assembling it, I stood on the bottom shelf and it held me (185lbs). I was a little uneasy spending so much on a shelf considering all the cheaper options out there, but the ease of assemnbly ALONE was worth the money. If it can even hold half the weight it claims to, buying this was a no-brainer.

DO NOT BUY
Even if you have the tools, this is still a giant pain to piece together. It's shocking how little of a "sweet spot" exists for this thing to link up without falling apart. Basically, the vertical rails are the female slots and the horizontal rails have male "hooks"/latches. An adequate product would have enough of a gap between the slots and latches. This is not an adequate product. The majority of latches were at best flush with the slots, about 30% were recessed so far that they folded to the inside instead of booking over the slot, 20% could be hand fit over the slot (and thus fell out immediately unless zipped tied down), and a minority went smoothly in with a bang of the mallet. The aggravating part is that there are two slots per corner, and they often had differing problems (ex one too loose/perfect, the other collapsed inside itself). I would give 2 or 3 stars if that's where the problems ended. I figured if the latch was milled improperly, I could just smash it back into shape. To be fair, you can smash it into a different shape. Hammering it into the correct shape, or hammering only the misaligned part without warping the rest of the frame, is a different story. A pair of needle nose plies or a single bad hit with the mallet will near irreversibly misconfigure this product. A vice grip and solid table are recommended to assemble this. A c-clamp in a pinch, zip ties wound up being inadequate. I almost forgot how bad the base was. The first few pieces I tried were of the loose variety and fell out constantly, ended up piecing half the corners together 3 times each before i decided to try zip ties. While putting together the second half, the first warped itself under its own weight so that there was a seemingly permanent twist in the base. A mallet helped but did not completely fix it. The slight warp did not affect building out the rest of it. Minor complaints: it smells weird for a while and is pretty ugly. Would prefer something other than particle board. However, these issues don't affect my rating.

Der Aufbau hat Stunden gedauert zu zweit, da die schienen nicht immer passten, muss man die per Hand umformen
