Bird of Paradise Palm Tree

I'm always nervous buying larger artificial plants online because they're either too cheap or too thin looking. This review is for the bird of paradise. I needed something to help block out my view of my neighbors on my back porch. This plant is beautiful, big and very nice quality. I really liked the fact the base was heavy too help hold it up. I placed it in an even larger pot for more stability from the wind. Very impressed.

Searching for a fake house decor plant was hard because I didn’t not want something fake looking and flimsy. This one though, it delivered ! It’s full, easy to shape. Excellent quality. Packaging was great too and price is great for the size of the plant.

The plant is not assembled and it isn’t easy fitting the steams together. The leaf steams are a different, lighter color than the long stems attached to the vase which makes it look even more artificial. The planter is very small so I put it in a bigger planter so it wouldn’t be too heavy and fall over. The description of the plant, especially assembly, is completely false. I’m really surprised by all the good reviews and disappointed in the product. It’s an expensive plant that cheapens the room.

Box damaged, plant damaged, dirty, (had to wipe white spots and dust with a damp cloth), not great looking. For this price expected better product. Not worth the money. Even propped up 2' from floor not high as 8' cieling. Heavy end of box was broken open, heavy end was not anchored, so leaves near top of box were bent and crimped. I can't just send this back. It's too big and I can't pay shipping. Stuck with it? 17 stems includes very short ones. 2 leaves are left off so you can try to make it taller than its box, only you'd have to leave them straight up which doesn't look good. Needs a pot, but use a tall one if you want a tall plant. This plant sells elsewhere for less than I paid here, so compare ads carefully. For slightly more I could've tried a different one that might have been better. This is not an indoor/outdoor version, leaves are fabric not plastic. Hard to arrange properly to match photos.
