Briess 2A-3IVR-01PR Dry Malt Extract - Traditional Dark - 3 lbs.

I wanted a dry malt extract powder that would taste like a malt from your local shake place. You know that flavor. Well the Traditional Dark Dry Malt Extract by Briess is what you need! It's malted barley. And amazing! I add it to my favorite protein powder from KetoChow and make the most luscious protein drinks and ice cream! Hubby likes to sprinkle on popcorn or bananas or apple slices.

This dissolves fairly well. If you use a blender it works great. In heated milk, I can dissolve it with a wisk. I use this in cocoa, in chocolate milk mixes, and for malted shakes. Also sometimes use as a sweetener in other things. Great product that had been very consistent for me.

I use this for malted milkshakes and it works well except that its flavor is not as strong as others that I've used. I just use a bit more powder.

- Yup, it's 3 lbs of dry Malt. I have no idea how it works for brewing, but I *can* say that it is DELICIOUS in malted-milk and chocolate-malted milk. Or on bananas. Or in oatmeal. Or right off a spoon, in all of its sticky glory, LOL! - I haven't yet tried the merenge-based malted-milk-ball recipe I found... - It arrives in a super-thick bag, nice and dry. I don't keep it in the fridge, because here, anything that's cool attracts the humidity from the air, and if this malt gets wet, it becomes like thickened molasses. I roll the top over tightly and secure it with a binder clip.

Made a great beer. I will use this again.

Bought this to feed my fungi colonies for spalting wood. Seems to be working well

This product always arrives well sealed. The flavor is as malty as a malted milk ball. It has very little gritty taste and dissolves well in warm milk.
