Very Happy (Thankfully)...
I bought these to replace my Corsair Void Pro headset that have had the 'quiet mic' issue for a while now. I was hesitant to get another Corsair headset due to the mic issues, but it seems like it's 50/50 on that no matter which brand you go with, so I pulled the trigger. First off, the whole reason I caved and got a new headset in the first place, is because my work headset completely died. I switched to the Voids as a backup, and realised that people were barely able to hear me (I work as an IT support specialst... so...that's not great). After I received these I immediately swapped them out and was very pleasantly surprised. The mic actually works the way it's supposed to. Initially testing with voice recorder played back nice, clean sound. After taking a few calls, I've noticed that I can speak casually again (no more borderline yelling at customers). One thing I will note about the mic, is that it does not have any sort of noise dampening. Not a problem for me, but if you have a slightly noisier home office, these might not work for you. Speaking of WFH, we use Cisco Jabber with Finesse to route calls. I was able to plug-and-play with no issues and no need to install I-Cue. Comfort-wise, these are actually more comfortable than the old pair. The band kind of threw me off, but after adjusting it, it fit perfectly (I have a big head AND wear glasses). Can barely tell I'm wearing them after about 5 minutes. The only gripes I have - I wish they had an in-line controller for the volume and mute (on ear is fine, and mic flip works well enough). I also noticed that the sound is not as punchy as the Voids, but then again, I haven't tested with ICue yet, so the custom EQs may change that. Overall, very happy with the headset, and even more excited that they worked out of the box with my work software.

Perfect for entry level
FOR THOSE WHO ARENT AUDIOPHILES OR EXPERTS -- READ THIS This headset is one of the best entry level gaming headsets i've purchased. They are made sturdy, adjustable, and without error. For those who are deciding between this headset and other prevalent devices, choose this one. Don't pay mind to nitpicky reviews unless you are sure you understand the humongous words and technical terms they use. Pros: - Made with metal, memory foam, and high quality materials - Bass drivers are at the perfect level of medium - Very loud, you won't need to max your volume manager out in order to hear - The microphone is the best headset microphone in my opinion, no pop filter necessary, clear and non-suppressed, as well as compatible with voice mod or third party software - The mute functions are spectacular, the software it comes with allows you to chose a mute key as well as the push up mic and mute button - Mic is perfect for mumblers, whisperers, and anyone who is shy Cons: - The highs are sharp, which causes audio to peak high - The mic is very firm and almost unable to be posed - The mic is surround based, meaning it tends to pick up outside noise—however you can use noise cancelling features from third party software and built in functions like Discord has - The headset is tight but has adjustable features like the headband - The earmuffs do not extend downwards or upwards but you can adjust the headband to elude to the same feature Happy purchasing!

Very comfy
These are great. I have a difficult time getting a headset that is comfy as I wear glasses. This is the only one I have found that does not press the glasses to my head. Very comfy, does go around the ears nicely. The strap on top keeps the headset from dropping down on my head. The lift up "mic off" is wonderful and easy to use instead of having to find a button to shut off the mic.

Lasting well so far, good sound quality
The mic is much louder than my prior headset, Corsair VOID. Though it still requires a bit of boost. That said, this headset has good sound quality (for a usb gaming headset) and they are really comfortable. The only issue I have is the headband isn't quickly adjustable. The upside is it will stay the same from use to use, unlike some that will expand/contract and you'd have to adjust often. The downside is there is some trial error and finicking to get the sizing right. Not a major downside. Another plus is the volume is a wheel, versus buttons. This makes for quick adjustment of volume. On that, they are really loud. I use mine at 8 (out of 100) and even that can be too loud. This doesn't appear to be an easy thing to adjust, i.e. reduce output by 50% or whatever to give me more range. Though it hasn't proven to be a real issue. Overall, a good upgrade from the Corsair Void and light years better than the Logitech G35s I had years ago. The wireless version of this headset is tempting, though the mic quality seems to be better with the wired version. Plus, no batteries or dongle to worry about.

Not worth the hype
I give these headphones a 6/10. For the value, simplicity in design. They are ok "only". Mass Drops PC38X has been my gold standard for a few years but I like to experiment as I see reviews. I really wanted an excellent mic, but this only gets around 40% volume in windows using the "test" feature. Where as the PC38x scores 100%. Its night and day, I was hoping the wired, USB-C would bridge that gap. But nope. For folks who arent used to high end gear, dedicated mics, etc you might get away with this just fine. As for audio quality, PC38x again, superior fidelity, its cleaner, better bass (without the EQ). Bass is incredibly muddy. The Sub $100 price range is really rough.

Absolutely terrible quality.
The headset was great when I first got it. I enjoy the loud bass and the great mic that I'm sure Corsair got because Logitech has it on their g pro headsets and thank you it made it a lot easier than buying a boom mic. The comfort is there and it fits around my ears just fine with just the only issue being it not much room for my big head. But then we have the issues. Bought the headset in April. Then it's 5 months later and guess what. The corsair HS80 wired finally gives out as the ear pads just come apart and I find out that the glue they used to secure the cloth to the plastic has turned into a gooey mess. I am able to pinch my finger on the inside cloth covering the driver and pull the cloth out like it was a wet napkin. Then I pull off the ear cups and find that both of the ear cups are slowly turning that glue into a gooey mess as well. From what I can tell it has to do with sweat. The sweat just ate that glue up and turned it into what it is. I don't know if corsair thought that making the ear cups glued to the plastic but it is terrible. Tell you what Corsair. Screw you guys. I spent 85$ sure on a headset you guys advertised because you called it a "premium gaming headset" but instead we get a headset made in china by some company that doesn't care as long as this 25$ headset reaches my hands. If you read this through and just want a simple solution I would highly suggest you buy replacement earpads from Amazon as these will give out. And if the cloth you have around the driver comes out I soaked the plastic that formed around the fabric in isopropyl alcohol in a tupperware for like10 minutes and then used my finger nails to scrap off the glue and then I set it in the sun to dry out. Then just find some basic plastic to fabric glue and glue it all in such as loctite plastic to fabric glue. In total I spent 30$ for the new earpads, glue and isopropyl alcohol. And Corsair charges 20$ for shipping and assume it will take more than a week. Getting new pads by themselves in one day is less than 30$.

Great quality headset, great value
I like it a lot though it feels slightly short in the sense that people with long heads may have their ears slightly sticking out even with the head strap adjusted fully slack.

Do i need to buy anything else?
This is what i've been looking for. Good sound quality and mic is also crisp. Gaming with this on Valorant is just a cherry on top.
