Coogam Qiyi Megaminx Cube Sculpted Stickerless 3x3 Pentagonal Dodecahedron Speed Cube Puzzle Toy (Qiheng S Version)

Pretty nice twisty puzzle. This is the only mega minx I have ever handled, so that this review with that in mind. I really like this puzzle. The movement is very smooth. In comparison with my cubes, it tends to catch corners more often. I’m not sure if that is because that is the nature of the dodecahedral shape or the design of this particular version. But still turns very nicely under most conditions. One thing I do not like is that sometimes if you catch a corner particularly hard, the corner can rotate without you noticing and the puzzle becomes unsolvable. That has happened to me on several occasions. They are pretty easy to rotate back into solvable alignment without disassembly of the entire puzzle. But still annoying to go through the last layer corner orientations and find out it happened. I do recommend this puzzle. It is very good considering the price. But it does have a quirk or two that are less than ideal. Because of the price, I will give it 5/5 stars. But if I had paid more, I would probably give it a 4/5.

One of my pet peeves when shopping for rubiks cubes is they keep being advertised as "toys" and "beginner". I am not a beginner, I can solve about 5 different cubes, but I am also not a speed cuber who is looking to solve a cube in 10 seconds. All that aside, this cube is generally very good. If you are looking to get a good cube, with smooth moving pieces for a good price then look no further. This is a great bang for your buck. But if you are training to be in the rubiks cube Olmpics then dont get this. Probably need to look elsewhere, but by no means is this cube for beginner. It could be used by a beginner, but it could also be used by intermediates as well.

If you are looking for a not-quite rubics cube toy, and have no experience with this thing, it can be recommended. This Megaminx turns easily and freely, and the corners feel secure, and you cannot go wrong. It's fun ! But. 1. Turning better than a standard rubics-brand cube seems to be easy for many knock-off cubes/toys. 2. I wish it had detents, such that the turnable sides would be more likely to stay aligned. Thus: maybe go to speedcubeshop.com or thecubicle.com and select a more expensive Megaminx.

This is a challenge. My 14 yr old son loves trying to solve these puzzles. When he had the 3 x 3 cube figures out and could solve it in less than a min after I messed it up I got him this cube to stretch him just that little bit more. He likes the challenge. It doesn't fit in his pocket as easily but he has it sit on the computer desk and he plays with it when he needs a break from homework. He likes that there are no stickers that can peal off and the little ridges on the pieces make it easier to grip and move around. Nice puzzle toy!

Arrived exactly like the pictures and is still in great condition after 6 months of continuous use. Great product!

This is a fun and great puzzle. I originally had one with stickers and as they were falling off I bought this one and the movement is very smooth and glides nicely.

Birthday gift for granddaughter who mastered Rubix cube in no time. She loved the challenge and quickly figured this one out also. Me, not so much!
