OXO Good Grips Cherry & Olive Pitter

Excellent device, made quick work of pitting 1 kg of cherries! Looks robust and well made, durable, goes in dishwasher

This is fantastic! I bought this for damsons, not cherries. It doesn’t remove the pips 100% of the time, probably about 75%. When the stone hasn’t been removed it is easy to get out after the stoner has had a go at it. Damsons are delicious but fiddly. In previous years I’ve cut the stones out - takes forever. I’ve counted the damsons into a pan and counted stones out - again takes forever. This device is a game changer. One or two stones sneaked through - I need to be more careful. One thing that could be improved is that there is a removable clear plastic holding device. This has a tendency to occasionally fall off while you are using the stoner.

Very good works well on cherries but check the stone has come out & it's not just a lump of flesh.

It seems to work okay with cherries although some of the larger cherries don’t fir and have to be squashed in. It pips them okay but does leave them hanging sometimes and the occasional stone gets stuck so you have to fiddle about with it to clear it. I’ve not tried olives yet so I may have to add to this review later. Other than the above, it works fine and it’s better than the alternative of spitting out the pips or cutting through the fruit, first. Fairly comfortable in the hand and easy to clean.

I am pleased with this cherry pitter - it costs a little more than it should but it is robust and well made. I use it every day to pit olives which it does easily with practice. There is definitely a knack to it. With the olive stem-end down and aligned exactly under the metal skewer the pit slides out without minimal effort. Even a few millimeters off and it takes two hands to force it out. The tool is easy to wash. Do be careful of the little grey lever sticking out of the back, don't push-it, pull-it when the handles are squeezed together and they stay together for storage. Nice.

I used it on cherries and it is robust and easy to use. I quickly destined a mixing bowl of fresh cherries. I haven't tried it on olives though

It doesn't open wide enough to take either large cherries or large olives. Spatter guard is quite good.

Worked really well for the dark cherries harvested from our garden. Easy to clean too. Foldable is a neat feature.

Simple and efficient product. Used it for a larger batch of cherries and now during the holidays for some green olives I accidentally bought with pits. Would recommend.

It’s sturdy, easy to clean and helped us to put a lot of sour cherries with very little effort. Pleased with purchase and may buy another for next years harvest.

Ich habe drei verschiedene kirchenkerne auch mit unterschiedlichen automatiksystemen wo man die Kirschen nicht einzeln entkernt durch probiert aber der einzige war dieser auch so grip wo mit hoher Zuverlässigkeit die Kirschen entfernt wurden
