Delivered broken and cracked, so basically unusable..

Product was refunded due to cracked stone Product. Polished off manufacturing marks so damaged could be seen the stone does come with Japanese writing and did cover the cracks. Polished down with Matsunaga Stone. Do check your stone could have been hard to Spot

This stone is made with high quality, as expected of King branded whetstones. I am extremely satisfied with the price I paid for this stone. One thing to note with this stone is that it is glued to the flimsy base it comes shipped with. It is easy to pry the stone from the base and cut off the glue cleanly using a utility blade. The printed text on the stone did get in the way of the first use; just lap the layer off with another stone or a lapping plate. I tried using the stone with the text on; it was not a pleasant experience. Overall, the stone provides a decent finish and holds up quite nicely after a few sharpens. I did do a considerable amount of research before buying this stone (to see what other options I had), and after purchasing this stone, I don’t think a better choice is out there at this price.
