Comparing Dig Kits
I purchased this and Hapinest Gemstone Rock Dig Kit for Kids as Christmas gifts here on Amazon, buying both because only six of the included gems match between kits. This was the notably more expensive option, however the specimens so far have all been smaller, 2 are misidentified on the listing photos, and this set does not include any identification cards or the map included in the less expensive set. There is still the fun of the dig, and the pink gem-shaped blocks are visually appealing, but if I repurchase this type of item, it will definitely be the other brand. Note: this is not an instant gratification project. It will take some time for a child to excavate each find. If you're buying for an impatient youngster, you might be better just buying an assortment of polished rocks.

Stone is too small
The stone is the size of a pencil eraser, too small, and it looks silly, especially since the chalk is encased in such a huge piece of chalk. I would not recommend.

Fun but small
My kids love all these kind of digging things, but the rocks inside were pretty small. We used these as a birthday party activity and I’m pretty sure 1/4 of the kids lost them immediately. Still fun but I’m not sure worth the price.

i CaN't DiG GEMS
Was supposed to come with 12 brushes and 12 chisels. Mine arrived with 24 brushes and 0 chisels.
