I can honestly say I am shocked. My dad is Indian and always gets saffron from India. Since he is unable to go this year due to the virus, we had to find it elsewhere. I was skeptical since you read so many people telling you about fake saffron. So I said for the price it’s worth it if it’s real.Well was I amazed.First - the packaging is so high end I felt like I bought caviar from Russia. The box is a nice wooden box that I plan on using for jewelry.Second - the saffron comes packaged in a glass bottle with a cork!!! Okay, so this is one thing I will forever use. How awesome and so thankful. The ones from India are in some small plastic container if that. This is a thick sturdy glass bottle and the cork is tight so it will keep fresh.Third - when I opened and smelled it I was hit with the freshest smell that was sweet and had such an amazing aroma. I was in the process of testing it.Fourth - soaked 2 strands in some warm water to see the color. I was blown away. 2 strands had more bright yellow color than any of the Indian saffron we ever had. It had such a color that you’d only need that much to color a large pot of rice. Shocked!!!!!Fifth - now this is the final test to see if it’s real. Taste..... Bam!!!! The flavor is so rich and strong. This is way more powerful than any we have ever had. The flavor is stronger and I only had 2 strands in there.The bottle is filled to the very top. It is a very generous portion.So in summary, I am beyond pleased and thankful. It says it is organic on the bottom of the box. Even if it isn’t, it is still worth it. I will be saving this to purchase again in the future. I also plan on sharing this on social media for others.Thank you so much. We can now enjoy our food again. Payasam will be so delicious now!!! This is the only saffron that I order for months. I tried other brands too and there were good too, but Zaffrus is the one I chose and over and over I order. It is real to me and has such a beautiful color. It taste so good. Makes food so tasty and colored. I don't think I want to try other brands anymore and will stick to this one and hope it never stops to sell it. Thank you amazon for providing the good quality saffron.

Product crumbled when grinded.Product colored warm water yellow.Product had a pleasant earthy, floral fragrance and strong flavor.

I do not review often, but this product deserves it! Beautiful, elegant packaging. The saffron is dark and smells wonderful. Have not cooked with it yet, but have already purchased Agee for Christmas gifts for my friends who cook. Very impressive

This product is exceptional! I loved the way it was bottled and packed because the saffron stays fresh within the corked bottle. It is also the best buy for the money that I have found (if you have ever priced saffron, you can identify because saffron is VERY pricey)I use it for a "RED TEA DETOX" recipe so I use quite a lot of it, and I need to buy substantial amounts of it. Since I am NOT Rockafeller I have to find the best buy for my money, and this is it!All I can say is that it must be great, --I'm still buying it as needed--
