Will this work for womens size 8 narrow foot?

I wear an 8 and it works for me, but I think it would work for any shoe size.

Can I wear this in the shower?

Yes since I wear them in a pool over the summer.

How does this brace compare to the Ossur foot-up drop foot brace?

The Ossur foot-up drop foot brace uses a plastic inlay that is placed on top of the tongue of the shoe and is designed to provide upward lift once shoes are tied by securing the inlay in place. The DOSH brace uses an adjustable strap that loops under the laces of your shoe and is secured in place with a buckle closure. The buckle is placed under the shoe laces and snapped into place for a secure hold. The connecting strap is adjustable allowing you to provide more or less lift based on how the strap length is adjusted. The DOSH brace can also be worn with sandals or other shoes that have straps, Hook and Loop (Velcro), or other similar closures. Additionally, the DOSH brace can also be worn barefoot to provide the foot with upward lift during the day or while sleeping. The lower foot wrap must be used when wearing the DOSH brace barefoot in order to connect the two portions of the brace together to provide the desired lift. ***Bonus Tip: if additional upward lift is desired, specifically when wearing the brace barefoot, wear the top portion of brace upside down (DOSH Logo should be upside down) and lace the buckle through the D-ring from front to back.

Where do you measure your ankle. Up higher mine is 13”. Do they make another model for larger people?

12" must be the standard size for petite young models. If you have 'senior-sized' ankles - forget it!

fiddly to get on and off, ten minutes of messing around and could not feel any benefit. If you have muscle weakness in your hands you will find the plastic device on the front hard to use. Plus how long is the velcro going to last before you need to replace them - probably a few months at best.
