Best Comb/Brush Ever! This actually works for my hair which has extremely tight curls.

Anything from Tangle Teezer is always reliable, and this wide tooth comb is no exception. I’m a Black woman with type 3B/3C curls, so it’s essential to have a wide-tooth comb on hand, and this one does the job beautifully. I don’t use it every wash day or as my main styling tool, but it’s perfect for detangling before a blow dry, during a blowout, or as the first tool I reach for when my hair is straight to gently work through any knots. It glides through my hair with minimal breakage, feels sturdy, and the design is both practical and stylish. Another win from Tangle Teezer!

With ultra thick hair this comb is useful for combing without loosing my curls . The brush assists me in smoothing down the edges or sides depending on the style . Excellent multi dimension comb .

My daughter has fine curly hair that gets tangled so easily and she hates getting anywhere near a brush or comb. The big toothed side has been great to work through tough tangles and the softer silicon side is gentle enough to be tolerated.

The comb is of good quality and has reduced the amount of hair breaking when I brush my hair after washing. I have fine straight, straight hair and I was finding it breaking easily if I brushed it when wet. It was recommended to me and I believe it to be good value as it has reduced the amount of hair breakage.

I have naturally curly hair and have always dented my hair when wet with conditioner on it. My preference for wide tooth combs help detangle my curly hair and gets through knots easily. I have also used this item on my daughter's very thick wavy hair and my son's short curly hair. On long hair I've found if you tilt the comb you can get the other side tangled in your hair and it can be difficult to get undone. It is good to brush through product and gentle brushing in wet hair. It's also good on dry hair too but misses small tangles and knots. I have personally gone back to my very old afro comb as the other black side of the comb, despite good for combing hair does tend to get tangled in long hair as aim used to combing my har at an angle. It's good for shorter hair styles but in longer hair I was getting it tangled and causing knots/matts as both sides of the comb got twisted in the hair. The comb is quite sturdy and solid and appears it will last a long time. I've lost many a comb or brush just simply brushing my curls so it passed the curly hair brush through test. If you ca get used to using both sides without the other side catching any stray hairs then this will be good for you. It is expensive but it will last a long time, years if you can get used to using it. Colour is nice but would be good to get it in a variety of colours and textures. I would definitely buy the comb if it just had the wide tooth side.

I like using tangle teaser brushes and have bought another comb from the tangle teaser range, which although not bad, did not do much for me. This comb however has been much more useful. For context (should you need it) , I'm 3C, medium density, shoulder length hair that would probably reach around bra strap length if blow dried straight (which I do not do). As for porosity, don't ask as I have no clue. My preference before now, was to use a brush to detangle when washing hair, I never found combs did a good job of it, this comb changed my opinion. Admittedly there will of course be the odd tangle here and there while combing, and I do occasionally get my hair caught on the bristle side of the comb (which is easily remedied in a second or two and poses no real issues). Overall I do shed less hair compared to when I use a brush, which is a plus because reducing hair loss is my main objective at present. I like this comb enough that I'll be buying another one as back up. Just because.

It’s a great comb. I mainly use the brush side on my wash days. Just be careful when using it and going back and forth because could get tangled. It left the hair smooth and detangling without a ton of hair coming out like a regular brush. I don’t use the comb side much but it’s pretty much standard wide toothed comb.
