Does as advertised, I definitely recommend as a cheap back up for your stove to dampen. Build quality is simple and good, fits my existing stove pipes no problem. The functionality is as expected for a simple device like this.

I actually used this on a small camping woodstove that I installed in my sauna. I drilled a hole in the back of the stove for an external air supply through the wall, and I use this on the external air supply to control the amount of air going into the burn box. It works great for my purpose. This damper is good quality and feels durable.

The fit and finish of this piece is of great quality and should last for a long time

Went winter camping a few years ago with a new wood stove that turned out to not have a dampener in its chimney, lost a lot of heat that trip! so i bought this. it fits perfectly and helps maintain my tents heat a lot better. worth it!
