The 'roof' is easily put in place and removed - no force necessary. I actually use my spreader without the 'roof' which works well for me.

Can this distribute 4 in 1?

Not sure what you mean by 4 in 1. It will distribute most feed and seed, you just have to watch the size of the product your spreading and adjust the wheel, hole size of the spreader accordingly

What flow setting should I use? Grass feed Iv purchased days to distribute according to spreader and spreader instructions say to go according food

The feed packaging usually gives the flow setting to use if you are using a spreader.
