My dear companion and I discovered this specimen while searching for a training ground for a precious young adventurer on the cusp of learning to move about freely. When the smile laden satchel arrived we anxiously cut away the bonds and unfurled this subtle yet classy padded flooring.Not a minute into the first round of training our young lad mightily arched his back, propelled himself vigorously toward the ground, and took what appeared to be a debilitating blow. His tutors winched with guilt and rushed to abate the impending wails. However, cringing suddenly turned into exuberant rejoicing for the pain never materialized. The rookie continued on his merry way, blissfully ignorant of the mortal wound his training ground averted.In all seriousness, 10/10 we would (and did) buy again - two side-by-side works/looks great!

I was so pleased with this when I received it. I was grateful for a foam mat that didn’t have to be put together as individual squares.After 3 months the it began to crack along the lines of the decorative coating and show the foam. So I turned it over. It continues to do the same on the other side and the edges are wearing.I’ve only had it for 6 months and I’m now looking to replace it. Not pleased at all. If it would hold up it would be a 5 star purchase.

I LOVE these mats! We bought two to replace an 8'x10' rug in our living room. As you can see, the mats are smaller than the carpet, but I don't think it looks bad. We have a 17 month old, a 3 month old, and a cat who likes to urinate on rugs, so these mats were the perfect solution! They offer much more padding than the previous rug, are SO much easier to keep clean, and unlike the puzzle play mats, liquids don't fall through the cracks (i.e. no more milk crusted on my hardwoods!).One word of warning - my husband set the vacuum on one of the mats (he was using the attachment to vacuum the couch cushions), and it did cause some damage :( It was our fault, though, since we knew that vacuum had damaged the colorful alphabet puzzle play mat we have in the play room. Our iRobot Roomba works just fine on them, though. The great thing is that because they're reversible, I just flipped it over - problem solved!!!To the maker of the mats, please offer them in larger sizes! These are so much better than area rugs!

I searched long and hard for a durable play mat that my son can play on that was also stylish, waterproof, and easy to clean. I came across this mat on Amazon, and I could tell from the pictures that this was exactly that. The price may be a bit more than those cheap foam mats that you puzzle together; but I promise it is worth every penny. The print doesn’t rub off when cleaned. I use a natural cleaner on the mat at least once a week...but usually warm water and a wet cloth will do the trick. It is comfortable enough for me to lay and play on as well. Sometimes, I’ll work out on it too while the babe is busy playing with his toys. The size is good for a small play area. (I am using the baby care gate, also sold by Amazon. However, I purchased mine from Bed Bath and Beyond for 20% off. Amazon was surprisingly more expensive) . One play-mat is great for a baby that is rolling around for now. I plan to purchase more of these mats to extend my sons play area as he grows. I do not let my cat play on this mat. Yea it is durable, but if you do not keep your pets nails trimmed, it could see it might be an issue with scratches and whatnot. Hmmm...I think that is about it! OH! And if you are putting the mat down on a hard surface, it will slide. I purchased that foam non slip stuff people use for rugs and it is enough to keep it from slipping. Great purchase. Great customer service!

We needed a soft Mat to put on top of our tile flooring to encourage our 15 month old daughter to walk more at home without the fear of hurting herself. I first stumbled onto the baby care mats and the gate that was perfectly designed to accommodate their mat size. While I did purchase the gate, a bit of research on the safety of the mat, had me run the other direction. The entire Mat was made of pvc and while they claim it’s a “safer” version of pvc, there is no way I would deliberately purchase that for use of my little one especially since pvc is most dangerous for babies!I did a lot of digging around the safety of mats and truly struggled to find one that was big enough for an early walker/explorer, thick enough to prevent pain and injuries if she fell, made of safe and nontoxic materials, and preferably had a pleasant design as opposed to the vibrant baby designs that are an eye sore.I stumbled onto a blog that was a product of very extensive research and this mat was the only product that seemed to meet my criteria. They had done more extensive testing on these mats which gave me a peace of mind. The Mat is the perfect width for the babycare gates but is about a foot shorter. That part is the only part I wish I could change since my little one is still exposed and I don’t feel as secure as I would have liked to.Otherwise, my little one has fallen a few times without any sign of discomfort. I did put tile foam flooring under this one just to be extra sure though.The Mat has a beautiful neutral pattern and goes well with the decor without being an eyesore. Overall I’m very happy that someone somewhere had similar concerns to mine and came up with a safer solution for our little ones.
