A sweet addition to a collection
This version of Robbie really seems more like a collector's showpiece than a "toy". It's a solid miniature statue that offers no moving parts but is very detailed and attractive and well...cute. I would reccomend a completely different version of Robbie if you're thinking of purchasing this for a child to play with. This is more adult oriented and it looks cool sitting on my shelf next to some other choice collectibles. I'm more of a fan of the actress in Forbidden Planet, Anne Francis. This Robbie would be PERFECT if he had Anne draped over his arms. Anyway, if you like Robbie OR Anne, then this is a worthy find. Definitely well done and respectable.

Love, love Robby the Robot from Forbidden Planet - one of the classic movie robots of all time. This version is solid and has great detail. Well worth adding to your robot collection!

Fun memorabilia robot
No movable parts, just a solid plastic figure. Robby is a cool robot, and from Forbidden planet, to Twilight Zone, to Lost in Space, he never loses his cool. This is a rather small figurine, but still, a fun little replica to sit on a shelf, or at your desk.

ROBBY THE ROBOT ... BETTER THAN EVER !
Diamond Selects does it again with a companion robot to their previously released LOST IN SPACE B-9 Robot by releasing a Robby The Robot figure from FORBIDDEN PLANET as part of their Vinylmates collection. It's not poseable, but the design is so well executed that it doesn't matter. And now, I can recreate the classic confrontation of these two mechanical marvels from the LOST IN SPACE episode WAR OF THE ROBOTS !

For kids or adults it's a wonderful gift
My brother's husband collects small robots. And he absolutely loved Robbie the robot. Come his birthday next year, I'm probably going to get him the robot from Lost in space to add to his collection. He doesn't acquire these on his own. The people who know about his private little collection are the ones who keep giving him the little pieces, including local artwork and some jewelry.
