My new TV lacks a VGA connection. This adapter connected my PC to an HDMI port as advertised. It only took a few minutes to install and the video quality is perfect. I like that it is powered by a USB connection so it turns on with I turn on the PC.

I have an old Lenovo laptop with Windows 7 (yeah, yeah, blah, blah, upgrade, blah). The machine works for what I use it for, which is watching videos off of a thumb drive. I plugged the fairikabe VGA to HDMI Adapter with Audio into the laptop (VGA, headphone, USB), connected an HDMI cable I already had to my TV's input, and it worked instantly and flawlessly. Perfect graphics, perfect sound. These are the good old days: less than 24 hours from having the idea to a working solution for $10!

The VGA to HDMI Adapter is exactly what I needed to connect my old computer to my TV. I was looking for a powered adapter, and this one worked perfectly. I have an ancient (2007 HP) desktop with a VGA only video port running Linux. Since then, the industry standard has become HDMI. i purchased the Fairikabe unit so that I could still use my PC with HDMI TV/Monitor(s). I currently have an neolithic ViewSonic (2003) TV with both VGA and HDMI ports. The VGA port works fine, but given the unit's age, I wanted to be ready should it decide to die on me. I hooked the Fairikabe VGA to HDMI adapter up to my PC's VGA port, and the HDMI on the ViewSonic port. I was greeted with an "Unsupported Format" message saying the signal was unsupported by the monitor. Strike One. I also have a Magnavox (2010) TV with an HDMI port which I tried next. This time, I got a "Format not supported" message. Strike Two. I then hooked up a newer Toshiba (2019) TV (HDMI only. Success! The picture was brilliant. I tried to register the unit i bought by taking a photo of the UPC symbol, but received a "server can't be found" message on my browser. Strike Three(?) Unless there is a way to adjust the Fairikabe resolution setting lower to accomodate older (pre-1080 resolution) displays, this unit may not be for you.

When I bought a reconditioned desktop and new monitor, I didn't realize the desktop box didn't have an HDMI port. So when I connected my new LCD monitor to this desktop via VGA cable, the resolution was horrible, practically unviewable! After a little research I found this adapter and tried it. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Easy installation - basically plug n play! Highly recommended!!

If you're like me and bought this based on advice or previous reviews saying this works for 720x400 VGA as used in many older computer pre-boot environments (BIOS screens and the like) and MS-DOS, you'll be disappointed when you find that it does not work. Until the machine boots and switches to another resolution that is supported, you'll have no video output on the HDMI side.

From one low end user to another i needed something to attach my PC onto a HDMI without breaking the bank on those video graphic cards 🙄. Buying this cord replaces the gawd awful vga cord i always hated, plug & play, so easy set up without a hassle of losing image quality. Upon start up my pc couldn't read it at first, i had to reset it a few times until it loaded properly. My guess is the boot memory lagged a short time. Nothing troubling, a great cord, and useful for any older PCs as well.

I have several hp tower computers which i rebuilt and wanted to connect to a older 32 inch TCL led tv which has a vga connector and this worked perfectly. Great product.

acheté pour pallier au problemes de connectique sur differents ecrans, fonctionne parfaitement d'un vga au hdmi

The item looks good and comes with usb cables, It is not yet fully fitted as waiting for another hard drive for second desktop pc. However I dont see any problems completing setup as it is prity straight forward. Just dont forget to order an extra hdmi cabe to complete this settup.
