Great product.
Great surge protector. Super useful that it had the ability to route and store incoming cords for organization, and that you can close unused outlets to keep dust out. Cord length is giant which is nice as well.

Does the job very well.
I don't really believe all the bad reviews and some of them look like classic case of just overloading the unit or something. I have taken delivery of 3 of these over the past 4 years and not one of them has had the slightest problems. Works as advertised. Surge protectors are not designed to last forever. They are designed to do a specific job, and once that job is done, they are no longer surge protectors. You need to check the lights on your surge protector after each time you have a power outage or noticeable surge in your home - for any reason. If the unit lights indicate that it is no longer protecting, then you need to get a new one and be thankful that it did the job it was supposed to. For the price point, it is well worth it, has plenty of outlets as well, but just because there are a lot of outlets doesn't mean you can go and plug that many things into it. Carefully consider what you are plugging into this, read the instrcutions/manual. With this many outlets it can be easily overloaded and the pics I have seen here of melted or burned units, I'm willing to guess that all of those were overloaded or were hooked up to an improperly installed electrical outlet. I use these primarily for computers and their peripherals (printers, monitors, speakers, etc..), as well as one of them for our living room (TV, Wii, WiiU, DVD player, and computer - not all running at same time). We only use 7 outlets on that one and probably won't ever overload. Sorry if this sounds more like a Rant but honestly Belkin is one of the best surge protection brands out there. I have been using their products for over 15 years now and while I have had some die on me, it was only because those devices protected my expensive electronic equipment and did the job I paid them to do. Happy to replace a $30 part rather than thousands in equipment.

Great product - this one is the way to go!
Great product - worth the extra money you will pay for it over regular power outlets. I am forever using powerstrips for the enormous numbers of electronic devises which have crept their way into may life.......and now are viewed as indispensable. The plug packs aka the power transformers (the little black boxes on the power supply cords) cab be a huge problem with ordinary powerstrips - they don't fit well and take up 2-3 openings. I am forever juggling with one adapter or another trying to make all of these numerous plugs fit onto my various powerstrips. Not with this strip - everything fits. There is plenty of room for 6 plug packs on the sides and another six ordinary plugs in the center. Better, yet, the fit is very tight meaning the various plugs do not slip out. Such is particularly important if, like me, you have buried your cords via the grommets on your desk and would need to crawl under the desk if something becomes loose - not a whole lot of fun if you have an arthritic knee as I do. The last thing I want to do is crawl under the desk to see what is the problem - typically a lose connection. These connections are tight. There is also coxial, ethernet and phone jacks built in. I have used these as well - esp in conjunction with feeding various wires into the desk or hutch grommets. Speaking of grommets on the desk - one cannot have too many. I had a man come in to my home and add several custom-installed grommets into my desk and work table which was probably the best $50.00, I ever spent - cleared the the rat's nest of cords from my desktop and worktable. Said cords are now all buried out-of-sight and securely plugged into this fantastic surge protector outlet. This item is well worth the extra bucks to buy a high-quality powerstrip - probably not a whole lot more than what an ordinary strip plus all of the necessary adapters (to accommodate the plug packs) would cost.

Looks very nice, love the low profile, the plugs work really well... here are some thoughts...
There is one thing I did not see when reading some of the other reviews about this device. On the back of the device itself, it states, "this device should only be used with a grounded plug that is greater than 30 feet from the distribution box". There is no explanation why, nor is that even mentioned in the instructions page that ships with the product. I do not understand why that is an issue, but I suppose it may have something to do with heat dissipation should there be a surge. However that is a total guess on my part. It does eliminate some rooms in the typical household, but the real issue is this: "HOW can a person KNOW where the wiring is??? It's hidden behind drywall. There is absolutely no easy way to figure out if you are violating this "rule"". Beyond that possible issue, it's a nice product for MY usage. That is, I am ONLY using it for powering several low end electronics, such as my iPod, Nexus, a Oregon Electronics alarm clock, a lamp, my cell phone, etc. I am not using it for cable internet or phone services. (we are all underground in my area as regards utilities, and as a result, we've only had one or two interruptions in service for the last 25 years... speaking of that, for the life of me I do not understand WHY power is still on power poles across most of the country... it is dumb! IMO) This product is made in China, and I have had some real crappy products from China over the last few years, but this item is NOT one of them. This one seems to be done about as perfect as it can get. Perhaps China is finally discovering quality? I hope so. Just a year or so ago I picked up some power strips from a local discount store that were made in China. Now they all worked perfectly, BUT there was a notice with every one of them that they contained LEAD, and in fact I could SMELL the lead on the cords, and the devices themselves. A warning was included that you should wash your hands after contact with those devices. I smell NO LEAD from the Belkin device, and there is no warning about that possibility. So again, China manufacturing on THIS device is greatly improved. I read over the "guarantees" that were in the enclosed papers... I agree with others that they are effectively of no value. For me, such guarantees I consider nothing but "sales talk" trying to get me to buy it. If this device fails, I will replace it. If I lose one or more of the items connected to it, I will replace them. I will not worry or even bother to pursue any attempts at getting items replaced via the "warranty". I like this product, and I will likely order a couple more when I need something like this.

Worth the money!
I bought this product last year for my entertainment system and my computer system. So far this surge protector has worked great. I have used other Belkin models in the past and all have worked flawlessly. This model also protected my entertainment system frying when a power surge happened due to a storm. I had several other devices connected to a cheap white surge protector from wal-mart and some of them died or are beyond use. The white strip melted in places, and even the wall outlet had damage. This surge protector kept my devices safe. I also had my cable tv/internet coaxial line run though this as well. I have an ups connected through one of these for my router and switch. I can keep these devices safe from voltage spikes. I think it is really unlikely that the spike would come through the coaxial line-in or through my modem to the router via the Ethernet cable but I didn’t take any chances. I still remember the days when you had to unplug you phone line during a storm because that was the most likely source to fry your pc or modem. I love that the plugins are spaced well and have a center row. It makes plugging in some of the bigger power cord such as for my router, a breeze. I also really like the light system that tell you if the surge protector is properly grounded. This really makes it easier to ensure your devices safety and it will let you know if you may have faulty wiring. Really the only thing I can say that I dislike about it is the protector's size. It is quite bulky and sometimes can be awkward to handle if your trying to make it unseen in your entertainment area. This is only a small problem and with the number of outlets and the various functions, its size is expected and warranted.

Surge into Style and Security with Belkin – A Trustworthy Tech Choice! ⚡🛡️💃
TLDR: Belkin surge protector: premium feel, sophisticated look, worth the price. ⚡🔌🌟 Belkin really hit it out of the park with this surge protector. The moment I laid hands on it, I could tell - this wasn't your average, flimsy gadget. The plastic? It's like the luxury sedan of plastics – solid, not a hint of brittleness. 🚗💎 Then there's the power cord. We're talking heavy-duty, like it could tow a small car if needed. And the design? Oh, it's like the little black dress of surge protectors – discreet, elegant, sporting a color scheme that whispers sophistication. 🖤👗 It's got weight to it, too. It sits on my floor with the poise of a zen master, perfectly balanced and unobtrusive. You know something's good when it not only does its job but also elevates your space's vibe. This surge protector could easily be featured in a home office decor magazine. Sure, forking out $20-$30 for a surge protector had me raising an eyebrow at first. But now, I'm sold. Belkin's gonna be my go-to for surge protectors, phone charging cables, and really, any tech accessory I might need. I'm officially done with the bargain bin blues. ✋💥 The trust factor? Sky-high. After being impressed by some Belkin charging cables, this surge protector sealed the deal. The quality-to-price ratio is simply off the charts, especially compared to some other brands floating around the web. For my fellow ladies out there, I can't recommend Belkin enough. I may not be an electrician verifying wiring, but sometimes, judging a book by its cover works out. With Belkin, it's a case of 'buy once, cry once.' Quality and peace of mind? Absolutely priceless.

Does not work with majority plugpoints
does not work with indian plug points. Had to buy the earlier version from another site with higher price. What the hell Belkin what should we do with US plug points.

Best surge protector for the money...
I ended up getting another one of these while they were on sale. However I think even at regular price this is a good value, quality made, surge protector. The best thing about it for me is the number of widely spaced outlets. It seems like most of the things I'm plugging in have some form of "wall wart" that overlap the neighboring outlet(s) when plugged in to any one of my regularly spaced surge protectors. The outlets on this model are spaced far enough apart that I'm able to make use of them all, making this my most useful surge protector. I don't have to worry about blocking any outlets and there's a row of regularly spaced ones running down the middle for any standard plugs. The main wire is thick and the whole thing seems well made. The protection guarantee is also one of the best/biggest I've seen on comparable products. The high joule rating and the fact they're willing to "put their money where their mouth is", so to speak, enhances my peace of mind. As for negatives, I can think of only one possible complaint. As some others have mentioned, the sliding covers on the outlets can be very difficult to operate. That said, I'm still happy to have something that prevents dust and dirt from entering and accumulating inside. I've been using this surge protector without issue for months now in an area with frequent power outages and surges. It's my personal favorite and I would definitely recommend it.

Buen producto
