Do not buy if you want actual coal tar soap
Does this contain actual coal tar? Coal tar shampoos & soaps ALWAYS smell smoky, but this doesn't smell even remotely like a coal tar, leading me to think it does not actually contain the ingredients it is advertised as having. the soap highly perfumed with a generic, kind of cheap-ish floral scent, and the aroma is giving me a headache from just having the package sit open. I will not be able to use this, nor do I really want to since it seems like the "coal tar" in the name is just that - a name only. I would be very surprised if this soap contained any coal tar. What a waste of money. I've been using a variety of coal tar products on & off for 55 years; they have all had that distinctive aroma, which this being the ONLY exception. I suspect the name of this soap is, frankly, a lie.

Doesn’t smell like Coal Tar
It just smells like plain unscented bar soap. Others may say that is a plus, but for me it’s a minus because I happen to like the smell of Coal Tar oil.

Using for Plaque Psoriasis
Although this soap makes really black lather, it's working well for my husbands plaque psoriasis. He's using other prescription ointments along with this soap. But, the main things this soap does is give him a way to really soap up the affected areas & get them to soften up so the medications will penetrate to where it's needed. Along with this he does a once a week bath in Epson salts, which also help a lot in getting the plaque to soften & peel off. He likes this soap so much that we have ordered more & will more then likely continue to order it. He does not want to be without it now that he has used it. And, he uses it all over his body, even his hair!
