Dr. Dans CortiBalm Lip Balm Jar

This stuff works amazingly well for dry and cracked lips. It gives relief fast and actually heals instead of just sitting on top like regular lip balms. A little goes a long way, and the jars are the perfect size to keep in my bag and nightstand. It doesn’t burn or sting, and it’s great for sensitive skin. If you struggle with chapped lips or irritation, this is definitely worth trying. I noticed a difference quickly and it’s now my go-to balm. Highly recommend!

I’ve bought Dr. Dan’s Cortibalm a couple of times already. It really does help heal cracked lips. I use it every night before I go to bed and my lips are no longer cracked. Pretty awesome stuff, and worth the price to me for what it does.

This product is Amazing A+++++. My lips have been severely chapped for over a month to the point where they would bleed. I tried so many products but it didn’t help, some even made it worse. Once I received Dan’s Cortibalm , I put some on overnight. The next morning, I could see and feel the difference. Yes, the container is small but a little goes a long way. My lips are soooo much better after a week of using it.

First, the good. I love Cortibalm! It's the only thing that has ever truly helped my lips. I used to have very dry, peeling, and painful lips, no matter what kind of lip balm or ointment I tried, or when I tried going without any lip balms. Nothing worked. So when I found Cortibalm, I was thrilled! It works so well, and my lips are completely healthy. While I wish that I didn't have to use something with a steroid long-term, I do, and so I continue using it. So, I was thrilled to find these jars. I thought they'd be perfect to have on my nightstand, last longer than a tube, and there wouldn't be the plastic waste. Sad to say, they haven't been worth it to me. While the formula is the same as the tubes, it's very hard for me to apply it. The balm is quite hard, and using the pad of your finger doesn't, to me, get enough out to make it worthwhile, but instead is frustrating. I have to use my fingernail to scrape some up, which I don't like doing, but it's the only way that works. It's messy and not sanitary to me. I have noticed that if my room is very warm that it is easier to use, but as I don't like to sleep in very warm temperatures, the jar is not something that I am a fan of, and I will be going back to the tubes.

I got a sample of this from my Dermatologist and it really works on dry flaky lips. Gives a smooth feeling almost like rehydrated. Does help with chapped lips. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing product. Works well. My child had extremely chapped lips, they were raw and some spots were bleeding. We used Dr Dans and the next morning his lips were like brand new. Also works well on healing cold sores. The only thing is, I would recommend getting the chapstick form. This one is difficult to get out just because it’s a harder product, no as soft and pliable.

It seems to be working, but the balm itself is so hard, it's hard to apply. It's almost waxy, and I have to rub and rub to get enough product to put on my lips. I would much prefer something soft, since this is meant for extremely chapped lips, and this isn't soothing. The hydrocortisone does help, but it would be nice to have the balm actually act like a balm, too.

It’s fantastic for its purpose, which is to help with clinically dry and injured lips. If you have a skin condition or you’re on a medication that really messes up your lips (like Acutane/isotretinoin), then it’s great, but it has a steroid, so don’t use it as just normal chapstick if you don’t need it. It’ll thin out your lips and maybe make them worse.
