Excellent product ... but be VERY careful with your measuring and cutting!
I used this for the sidelights by my front door. It does an excellent job letting in light but giving me the privacy I want. The directions to cut and install were excellent and everything worked quite well. However, I learned a couple of things in the process that should help you with a better result. 1. Measure very carefully the actual dimensions of your glass, and then cut the film about 1/8" less than your measurement. This will give you about 1/16" on each side that will allow you to accommodate the natural variances in the window (I learned quickly that the window glazing etc. is never perfectly straight). 2. When you cut the film, it is best to use a straight edge (long metal ruler etc.) and cut with fresh single-edged razor blade or new X-acto knife. This will give you a very clean cut with much less risk of ripping that might happen with a utility knife. 3. Make sure your window is VERY clean ... you don't want any dust or lint particles from your cloth ... microfiber is good. OR, if you have an eCloth or Norwex cloth, those work really well. 4. Apply the water/soap mixture liberally to the film before applying ... the wetter the film, the easier it will be to maneuver into place. So yes, make sure you have rags on the floor under the window! 5. Work the water and air bubbles out from the center moving outward, focusing on the upper part of the film first and then slowly work down. If you make sure your top edges are aligned, the bottom will work itself out (and people will notice imperfections near the top far more than any at the bottom!). Above all, take your time. 6. Finally, if you discover that an edge of the film overlaps some of your glazing or wood, don't try to cut it while the film is still wet because you'll just rip it; wait for it to dry so you can make a clean, sharp cut. As long as you have worked out all the water and air bubbles, it should adhere very nicely to your glass.

I am so happy I bought this!
It's beautiful!!! I moved recently into a sort of old, but pretty house. The only problem is that since it hasn't been lived for a while, there was some handy work to be done, hence one of them this door, leads to the backyard, and right there is my neighbor's balcony. Nice people but I still wanted my privacy and this film was perfect for it without blocking the elegance of the door. The door already had some adhesive white effect on the glass by factory, but since it's old it had all mostly faded/fallen off. You can't even tell the difference! That's how good this is. It was sooo easy so install, OBVIOUSLY you have to meature, but that is an obvious fact about buying a film and I was prepared to face the hand work. No bubbly problem, I believe this complaints are from people who are not doing the simple steps rights. It's just as window shield, but since it's sturtdy it was soooooo much easier than usual window shield. I was prepared with simple cheap tools that I used for my car's windowshields that you can get anywhere, and for the bubbles, you can even use your driver's license or any plastic card just to squeeze off the air bubbles, simple. I had a gem tool, but I ended up using more Comfortably some normal scissors, because that's how easy it is. I cut a pretty reasonable piece, meatured it against the glass with the already dimensions provided by that adhesive film back, and I used my hair plastic water bottle, dropped like two dish detergent drops in it. I did it in less than 40 mins, I lost how much I really took because I had to keep coming back because of my kids' needs, overall, easy, simple, beautiful. Anyways, it does not block light, just dims some natural lighting, but I like that. It whole complete privacy and for the price? This is an Amazon treasure.

Big project?- get help
Overall great product. As advertised. Pros: Easy to adhere (don’t be afraid to use water it helps with the adhesive-when it’s not smooth you get more tension) Great privacy Aesthetically pleasing Cons: It was hard as hell to install. Granted I had two massive sides, it took 3 of us to hold it up and line it even. Use the sharpest tool you can find. Luckily my doors had groves that I could tuck the edges into. I will most likely redo it at some point because you can see some bubble and some water marks up close. For now it does the trick. May shop around for something a little easier, but happy overall

Great product - Easy to apply
First off, let me mention that I’ve only written a handful of reviews and this one of the rare ones. This product is very easy to work with and is as advertised (very seldom.) I used this on four door panels, each were 19 1/2 x 68 and two arch windows (one large and one medium.) I would though like to leave a bit of advice if I may. I found it best to apply the film 1/8 of an inch from each border to avoid lifting and better seal. I’m right handed so I found that if I applied the uncut side 1/8 from the top and the left side, I’d only have to trim the right side and bottom to match. I’m assuming if you’re left handed, it best vice versa. Makes it so much easier and quicker!! Also, I’d also like to mention that I did have a problem on my very last roll. It had a two inch crease that I could not remedy. I took a photo of it and sent them an email showing them the problem. They replied within half a day informing me that they are sending me a replacement which arrived two days later. Again, as advertised. No excuses, no delays. Couldn’t ask for better customer service!! I highly recommend this product if you are looking for privacy. Just keep in mind that no one can see in and you can not see out. It does let natural light though so that’s a plus. It has a soft frosted look when we leave the porch light on. Hope this helps!!

Perfection!
This was exactly what I was looking for. It blocks the view, but not the light. My dogs love to sit on my stairs and bark at the neighborhood. Curtains did not work since they could push them out of the way. This film installs just like cellphone screen protectors. So easy to use, it took me 10-15 minutes total by myself to install on my 39x43" window. I cut the piece to size using sharp kitchen scissors (there are 1" lines on the protective backing to help guide/measure), I prepped the window by thoroughly cleaning it, mixed water and dish soap per instruction written on the paper backing, soaked the window (the wetter the better), peeled the paper off the entire sheet of film (it is not sticky, but will cling once on the wet window), started at the top and lined up the film in the corners, used a squeegee( the kind for cleaning windows) starting in the top smoothing down and then out from the center to remove extra water/ bubbles, wipe with a rag or paper towel to remove and extra water, I used a razor to trim excess on the edges of the window, and it is done. Note if there is dirty on the window or if you dont completely soak the window it will not stick. It can easily be peeled back and repositioned until dried. Placed up today, so we will see how it holds up. This is a direct sun window, so I am wondering if the heat/UV rays will cause it to peel over time. Will Update in a few weeks/months, but so far couldn't be happier.

This is working great. The film is a dream to work with.
I cut the film to fit exactly (30 x 41) because I was installing on a skylight over my head. The hardest part was getting a lot of it clinging to the glass at once and then repositioning it. This is probably the hardest installation possible (standing on the top of a six foot ladder with your head in a skylight.) Once I realized I could keep part of the film in place I could position the rest accurately and then adjust the first part to the correct position. On a door or window this would be stupid easy. I used a credit card as a squeegee with many small strokes to remove the water underneath the film. This worked fine. On traditional window tint this would not be fine as it would certainly damage the film. This vinyl film us much thicker and it does not stick to itself like traditional window tint. This is MUCH easier to handle. And if it all goes wrong there is no damage and you can simply start over again. I did not know what to expect exactly but I am very happy with the results and the material is a piece of cake to use and reuse. The installed film looks great and the light sparkles as it comes through. The illumination is broad and gentle giving a pleasing light to the room. The heat is stopped and the UV is stopped. This is a terrific window film. I am buying more to use on more skylights (that I had not thought to do before.) PS This is quite the glowing review but it is legit. This stuff is cheap and works great. Their warranty actually is no surprise, after my experience with it. They say no questions asked money back and you keep the film. That says a lot about this stuff.

Simple Application our 7 year old did it!
Much better than blinds! So much more natural light and application was simple, as you will see in our video.. a child could do it!

Serves purpose but not flawless
I used this on our kitchen storage unit as well as on our bathroom window. The material is much more transparent when objects are very close to the glass (see photo - one layer vs. two), but hides very well on a window while still allowing light in. I had initially rated this product 5 stars, but after even a few days, bubbles started appearing under the film despite having applied it according to the instructions. While it still serves its purpose on both our windows and storage, it looks a bit more tacky and cheap than I would have hoped - and I spent almost $50 on all of the rolls to complete my job. Had hoped for a better, more clean result, but this will do.

Doesn’t cling well
Update: seller wants me to pull down used portions and return. It goes against their stated guarantee in the description. Seller was also very rude. I’ve been on Amazon for years and this is the worst experience I have had. Do not order from this seller!! I contacted the official window whirl company and they do not support their guarantee when purchased through a third party seller, like this person. False description! This seller is a con. Thankfully, Amazon gave me me money back when the seller refused. —— Seemed to go on okay at first, but doesn’t cling well. I’ve taped the top, which doesn’t look that great. I was hoping for a different outcome and will look for something else. Unfortunately, I didn’t learn this the first time with a window whirl product. I contacted the seller, as when I go for refund it says no refund on this product. Right in the description it says it’s refundable, with a satisfaction guarantee!

DO NOT BUY!!!
The film is very difficult to apply, took a lot of time and would not hold. Also it cannot take direct sunlight either. Major air pockets are forming and the film is falling off. I’ve used other adhesive film in the past and never had this kind of issues.
