FIFINE AmpliGame A8 USB Gaming Condenser Microphone with RGB Control for PC

Not an audiophile or has any real experience with mics or setups. I originally got a T669 in 2020 based on all the positive reviews and that was a solid solid solid microphone that I was really happy with except primarily the lack of mute button and how much background noise it picked up. I didn't need to upgrade, but I was in the mood to try this out and I got it for a great price so the decision was made easier. Overall sound-wise, I think it's really similar sounding to the T669. I would have liked a little more low end tones picked up, but it sounds clear throughout the range. I think people who know their way around mics probably could get it to sound even better, but it's plenty good enough for my untrained ear. The biggest upgrade was the improvement in background noise. I tried both mics in Audacity and it's a noticeable difference in background noise. I liked the fact that I could just pop it onto the mic arm that came with the T669 and the RGB lights are awesome. It provides some cool ambience as I'm just working on my computer. It's great to be able to switch off the lights too, or have them shut off with the computer as well. I like how the smiley face isn't really all that noticeable on the pop filter - which looks and works great. The only beefs I have with it are that the shock mount is pretty huge - I miss the compactness of the T669. This mic is already bigger before you consider the shock mount. The other gripes are that the gain knob is on the rear when it could easily have been in the same position on the front. You can operate it based on feel, but it just makes more sense to have it on the front - which frees up the rear to have the USB connector to go out the rear of the mic for a cleaner look. I also would have preferred a little less sound pickup from the rear of the mic. I sometimes forget to mute the mic when gaming until I notice that it's picking up my speakers. But those are minor things. This is a mic with plenty of bells and whistles for the price tag and it amps up the fun level if you ever need to voice chat.

I am an avid buyer of affordable tech. I have bought $10 webcams, $15 mice, $20 headsets, $15 capture cards, and *several* mics in the $50 and below range. So when I say that for the price, this mic absolutely blows anything I've ever bought as a budget streamer and tech user outta the water? That's not a lie. This mic is affordable and pretty easy to set-up. It comes mounted onto a mic stand that is pretty mediocre all things considered, but was easy to unscrew and mount onto a boom arm. It sounds great. I know very little about sound mixing, so being able to pop this bad boy in my computer and doing minimal to edit how it sounds is pretty rad in my personal opinion. It sounds great out of the box. Like most mics, it does pick up on some background noise. This can easily be fixed with a noise gate. The mic picks up on my typing- even connected to a boom mic and with a noise gate on- but it's perfectly alright and not at all an issue! I love it. It has touch buttons that are very easy to use, and the volume gain nob is alright. I will say that I find the light button being a touch button in the location that it's at (towards the bottom back of the mic) is a little inconvenient for when one moves a mic back and forth on a boom arm, but it's not really that much of a trouble. The push to mute is really rad, and the colour types are pretty sick as well. I would buy from this brand again! :)

This microphone was what I originally used because I upgraded to a FiFine AM8. Why did I upgrade to the AM8? Because it looked awesome? Well yeah. But no. Because of this microphone! Seriously. Let me share. Back when I originally bought this microphone, which was a fair bit of time ago now, it's price point was quite competitive, and got me into the realization of FiFine's truly amazing competitive value of microphones. It sounded great, I had it hooked up to my old laptop before I got into building computers and sheer comparison between a headset microphone is incredible. Night and day. Generous cable length, couple extra accessories, monitor mount adapter. Maybe something else? It was awhile ago. But thanks to this mic, I'm blessed with the AM8. Nowadays, I'm not sure I would call the still concurrent price of this microphone as competitive as I remembered. But regardless- understand it WILL do you well. 5/5!

When first getting this microphone I thought I was going to have some insane quality but it’s not too good but it’s not too bad either. For the price this is a decent microphone that is very versatile. It’s easy to connect using the usb c, u can increase its volume using the dial on the back although maxing it out seems like the norm, it’s so easy to mute and unmute as well and you can adjust it easily.

I really do like this microphone! The quality is really nice on calls. The color changing function is cool, the included pop filter is nice, and the volume control allows me to do some nice Foley-work for Dungeons & Dragons recordings. But that dang mute button on the top turns on and off at random times. Once you tap it, that's all it takes. It's on and off until you unplug the mic, and put it back in. I tried restarting the computer, re calibrating the mic settings... nothing seems to fix it. It's barely a inconvenience, since if I mute manually it doesn't seem to affect the mic at all, but it sucks that a function of the device is something that can render is inoperable. I have no idea how to fix it, and there seems to be nowhere online I can find an answer. It's not a HUGE drawback — if I manage not to touch the mute (on the top) then recording goes pretty normal. But if something touches the top (a bug, my wrist, a mote of dust) the thing goes crazy. Personally I still think it was worth the money, for sure, but it requires some patience to get used to. EDIT 7/7/22: I received help! After posting this review, I ended up getting a message that suggested the mic issue was something called a "grounding issue." I was told to try on a laptop (which I already work from,) restart my computer (which I had done,) or to switch the wall outlet that my computer was plugged into. That latter seemed to work, and after testing it on an hour-long call and having no malfunctions, the issue was fixed. I wasn't expecting to find the help from customer service through the company on Amazon, but it fixed my issue. This product is great. Now with the product fully functional, and the awesome customer service I received in getting things to work properly, I have no issue giving this mic the fully deserved 5-star rating.

Long ago, I used to have a much more basic and older Fifine microphone. So I already have some experience and trust with them. I've always liked the quality of these microphones, especially for the price. The color on this one is cool and I love the mute button that sits on top and that you can simply tap on. This is a simple plug and play, no extra setup needed, and no software needed either, another reason why I love Fifine. My girlfriend has a HyperX one, and they're basically the same thing (that one is a bit bigger) and this one is much cheaper (at least half price). My biggest issue, is that in Zoom calls it's sometimes the other person struggles listening, but I don't know if that's the microphone or my settings. Besides that, since there is no app, you need to switch through each lighting mode individaully, and cycle through them. Besides, that no complaints from this.

Worked as soon as I plugged it in. Gain is strong. At nearly the lowest setting it could pick up my whisper from a foot away. It's so sensitive that it picked up the clacking of my keyboard, the ticking of the clock on the wall, and the tiny sound of my mouse wheel spinning! (For real! It took me a minute to figure out what the noise was!) If I didn't use the mic with something that had voice isolation and noise cancelation, it would be *too* sensitive to use. But when I tested it in a voice conversation on Discord, it was perfect. No clipping, good clarity, and Discord's voice isolation cleared all the extraneous noises like the clock. The screws for mounting it are super annoying, and I already lost one of the washers, but I did put it on my mic arm without much trouble. I can't tell if the pop filter is doing anything, and it seems pretty flimsy, so I'm not confident for its longevity. I haven't played with the RGB yet, but the light is pretty. The gain knob is awkward to operate, and I wish it had a basic on/off button. I think the sound is slightly tinny, but not too bad, and it is sharp, not mushy or muddled at all. Overall, a good little mic for the money.

TLDR: I highly recommend this microphone if you are looking for a high quality mic that won't break your wallet that much! This microphone is the best one I've used compared to the others I've used over the past few years. Definitely better than some of the top microphones that range more than $100. Ever since I've gotten this microphone, I've had this joke with my friends. With my old mic, which was just my Logitech G733 headset mic, they rank the quality of sound produced a low HD. But ever since I've gotten this FIFINE Gaming Microphone, the sound quality is now an Ultra 4K! This microphone is amazing at catching sound clearly without any noise, static, and other common microphone problems to add. And you don't have to download any programs to be able to configure the microphone; all of the controls are on the microphone itself! And for the price point this microphone was at, I was a bit skeptical at first. "How is a high quality microphone this cheap, and why does it go on sale so often?" After thoroughly researching, my curiosity eventually won, and I got a high quality, working out of the box microphone for an amazing price!
