I purchased this back in January and initially it worked great. Offered more versatility than the GA-FC since you can switch between different effects on a given bank in addition to just turning them on and off. Additionally, it's a cheaper option and more space efficient. About a month ago, however, it stopped working. The pedal came on but would not control my Katana. It never left my house and was always in a climate controlled environment. I contacted customer service via email and after trouble shooting we came to the conclusion that the USB-C port on the pedal was broken. The rep asked for my original order number and address and within a few days I received a brand new pedal. Now, this process took a couple weeks to complete. I'm on the east coast of the US and, wherever their customer support is, they were replying to me between midnight and 2 am my time. This meant every step of the process required a day to complete. Every question asked, every "try this now." This isn't a knock on Xsonic, just an FYI to anyone who might run into an issue. Be patient and work with them and they'll take care of you.

Game changer! If you have a Boss katana 50 MK11 this is the pedal you want! It makes life so much easier specially for IOS users who have to use katana librarian this unlocks so much and makes it hands free it also means you do not need a Widi uhost anymore as this acts as your host for Bluetooth between the phone and the amp performance is flawless it’s fast reaction time very simple to set up and all that just absolutely 5 stars all the way around makes everything easier and better!

I just bought this footswitch last week for my MK1 Katana 100. Seemed like a well made item and even worked with the amp well. But the problem lies in the fact that this switch relies on a Bluetooth connection to the Boss Tone Studio app for Katana Air on your phone or tablet for you to do your tone editing. Well, the fine folks at Boss just happened to release a software update last week that renders this footswitch incapable of making the connection to the app and working as it should. Since I don’t want to have a brand new defective footswitch I’m sending this back.

Gave me ALOT of options for my Boss Katana Artist mk2 head. The wireless connectivity it provides is worth the price of admission, but when combined with my GAFC-EX footswitch I get control of all 8 banks, and all fx. Highly reccommend.

It took like two weeks to get it, but it does exactly what it’s supposed to do. That being said, it’s a mundane thing that should have came with the amp. These manufacturers shouldn’t be leaning on accessories and the aftermarket for basic functionality.

Makes editing patches on my Katana Mkll 100w much faster and easier. It is more compact and functional for stage use than the ga-fc, not to mention being half the price or less. If the airstep kat had been available when I was buying the amp, I might have given more consideration to the 50 watt version. I like the Katana Librarian app better than the Tone Lab Studio on my laptop - seems much more user friendly…easier to experiment with. I highly recommend the Airstep Kat.
