Replaced the previous older version of this controller which had digital push buttons. Had a new lawn installed recently. It was perplexing and difficult to program the auto-runs and two-a-days. Was able to quickly install and program this newer model. Very user friendly! Price was a little higher than I expected. Amazon delivered the next morning, so happy!

Very easy to setup and install. The instruction were clear and made it very easy. It’s a simple and modern sprinkler timer in one. The cost of the timer is very good and competitive. The quality of the timer is top notch as in all of Rain Bird products. It connects to all my zones and wires perfectly. The weather monitoring is very good and matches the high end timers.

Best clock I’ve ever used. Installed for my brothers irrigation system, so easy to set the days and time, love having the indicator lights, has all the functions he needs. So many clocks are hard to read and set, this is so so easy! Wiring it in is a snap.

Easy to install and operate. However, I have it set to start at 8:00 AM and it always starts at 8:23 instead. Time is set correctly and it keeps time perfectly. I guess I simply have to make adjustments.

The unit arrived as scheduled and was well packed. It was heavier thanI expected, because the power transformer is heavier than expected. You need a sturdy outlet. Unfortunatley, it is an old school 24 VAC transformer, so it is heavy. The unit is nearly a direct replacement for our 30+ year old controller....but with a few new features. I decided not to go with a WiFi enabled unit since they are more expensive, and from the reviews it sounds like the WiFi interface are not robust and connections are often dropped. This unit is easy to wire up, and it worked first time. Some other comments: When reviewing the programming, you can visually see what days each zone is turned on. Nice feature . There is no covering door which makes the control more accessible, but they controls are exposed. (We'll see if the rotary knob get sticky in the garage after a few years.) The solenoid control wires go into the bottom of the unit and aren't well protected. I made a 3D printed housing to channel the wires and keep tem protected. Finally, since there is no cover door, there is not an easy place to put the zone watering schedule. Otherwise, this unit is a good replacement sprinkler controller. A good buy for the price point.

Needed to replace my old timer because a lightening power surge blew my timer out. The irrigation company I use wanted to charge me $300 to replace it...NOT! Did my research and found the Rain Bird for $60. Easiest install ever! Took down my old timer and hung the new Rain Bird using the same wiring...BAM! Done in under 20 min! If a 67 year old female can do it...so can you! Best and easiest product to install! Don't let your irrigation company rip you off! Get Rain Bird! You'll be glad you did! Update: Well folks...the installation was a breeze...easy peasy...so it gets 5 stars for that! BUT...after a few weeks, it stopped working. Tried to unplug and re-plug, re-programmed the system to watering EVERY day from watering EVERY OTHER day...no luck! I am so disappointed!!! I have an email to customer service a few days ago...waiting for a response...bummer! Will let you know if they get back to me or not! :( FURTHER UPDATE: By golly... I think I have resolved my "system stopped working" problem!!! My problem was in the PROGRAMMING of the system! I had programmed my system to run "every other day" and when I tried to re-program it to run "every day" I only programmed ONE zone...thinking that it would include ALL the zones...NOT!! You MUST re-program ALL the zone to be exactly alike...that means turning the knob and re-programming EVERY zone and make sure that they are EXACTLY the same. Once I made sure of that...my system is running like clockwork!!! I was able to thatch and re-seed my lawn for the winter and have the system water it every day so the seed won't dry out! Oh Happy Day! So...if your system suddenly doesn't work for some reason...check your programming!!!

My husband could not be happier. He is not tech-savvy, so the simpler something is, the better. This is extremely user-friendly. We replaced an old, complicated unit that came with the home we recently purchased. We live in a climate that gets a decent amount of rain; his favorite feature is the "pause". If you get a lot of rain on any given day, you can put it on pause for a time frame of your choosing. It will automatically begin the normal cycle you have it set on once the allotted "pause" time has elapsed. Super quality, too! Highly recommend!

My 18 year old controller finally decided to give up. It lost programming every time the power went out and yes, the battery was good. Decided to switch brands and go for a more up to date unit. The Rain Bird model was perfect for my needs. Indoor, operates 6 stations and allows three watering cycles per day. The display is easy to read and shows what is happening now and what will be coming up for the next cycle. It has worked perfectly for the month I have had it. Except for my programming mistake. It really is easy to program. The connections were easy to set up. It even has "pump or Master" output to turn on an extra valve to activate the irrigation system. I looked at the price of replacing my old unit with the same model number and it would have been over 2 times more expensive. I do like the nice display in the Rain Bird and don't need to control it from Wi Fi or have the controller second guess the weather reports. I just need it to work and this one does just that.

When you buy this product to use in India, you should separately purchase 230VAC to 110V AC step-down adaptor (power supply unit) or a 24VAC Power supply unit which can directly connect to the controller . The Controller in put power is 24V AC . This Product comes with 110VAC 60Hz to 24V AC 60Hz stepdown adapter which will suit for US distribution . This controller having self battery back up feature, in case of power failure the settings / date will not change is an advantage from previous version . Easy to set and user friendly controller .
