HU 816 z KIT Cartridge Oil Filter Replacement Compatible With BMW 228i (2014-2016), 320i (2012-2018), 328i (2012-2016), 428i (2014-2016), Z4 (2012-2016)

I just wanted to write a current review of a product I have used for about ten years now. Our Family is a BMW fan. We call them the German Honda's. Our experience with seven vehicles over the years and to this day have proven how reliable these cars are. Anyways back to these filters, the Mann filter is the factory filter just boxed up in a BMW box. this kit comes with all the o-rings and a new drain plug. while you don't have to have a new drain plug it is nice to have as they torque down and the threads are plastic. I have ALWAYS changed oil at 10K not the 15K interval. I also only use the mobil1 syn Thats a different review but suffice to say if you see your oil at 10K vs 15K you would change your oil at 10 as well. these filters are again a perfect fit the kit comes with all needed o rings and at this price I usually order 4-6 at a time. We have four cars at the moment this is the first time I have ordered from amazon ( I resisted until now) feeling dumb to be so late to the amazon game. I usually try to support (The local auto parts) but during the covid lock down I used amazon. I saved about $3.25 per filter. which is not a small amount when we go through 8 filters a year but also even mathed out over the last ten years is only $300 to support the local shop that I do buy other parts at as well. Long review to say these are great filters and again get the kit use the new plug and happy driving for years

Fits 2018 BMW 320i. Comes with o rings and drain plug also. Drain plug has the torques spec on it. Your factory filter cover has the torques spec on it. Always use a torque wrench.

Unfortunately, I am now experiencing the displeasure of ordering and receiving the incorrect item 2x. I ordered the HU816Z and ended up getting the HU816X Which is NOT what I'm looking for as it DOES NOT come with a drain plug, which you need to replace each oil change as it's a plastic disposable piece. you are running a terrible risk of reusing a plastic piece. If they can guarantee you are getting what you actually ordered that would be great, but you can't. Really disappointed to see this is now a common thing for something that should be easy as pie to complete. Amazon needs to take a closer look into this! When I originally ordered this this was my first review: "Don't waste time with anything else, this is super easy, replace all the seals, filter and plug in one go. No brainer if you have an F30 328i."

The quality of the filters is great, a good brand. Yet this is the second order that I have placed for this particular part #, which is HU816 Z KIT, and you continue to send me part # HU816 X, which is for a different engine all together and does not come with the engine oil drain plug. I will not order any more until you can figure out how the wrong part is getting pulled and shipped every time.

took away 1 star due to getting the X kit and not the Z. The filter is the same and works fine, the difference is the X kit includes a metal washer for the oil drain plug and the Z kit includes a new plastic drain plug so depends on your model. I have a 2015 4 series and the filter is great and works great, been using them for 5 years but I also buy packs of the oil drain plugs since they never come included
