What does guaranteed not to break under normal conditions mean? Mine started cracking after 6 months and now my wheels get stuck, ready for trash.

I’ve had mine for 5 months. It’s cracked so badly I’m looking for another chair mat to buy today. My carpet is about 3/8” pile and the mat slips significantly. I’m frequently moving it back into place. I’m 6’ tall and 250 lbs. So, I’m bigger than most. But I bought it based on “heavy duty” and “guaranteed not to crack” descriptions.

Does the Mat hug the floor and not slip around?

I have medium carpet in my home office. The mat does slip a bit but not hard to move and put back in place. It is heavier than other mats I have had and the wheels of my office chair glide over it. My other mat was cracked in several places as the wheels on my office chair would not glide over it as this one allows the chair to do.

How transparent is it?

Very transparent but not totally. The carpet grabbers can be seen under certain lighting conditions and the shape of the mat is obvious.

What thickness/pile carpet do you recommend for use with this mat?

I can only speak for our office, but we have low-pile carpet, and the employee we ordered it for said he loves it!
