Quick, easy and cheap
Life saver, and money saver!! We thought we were going to have to buy a new microwave bc it started sparking very badly. We really couldn’t afford it at this time due to financial issues. I was looking for the most economical one to get, but thought to look up the issue. Thank goodness I found an article about these formica plates causing sparking it they get dirty and damaged. These fit perfectly and I was able to just pop them into place in 5 seconds. Our microwave works like new!!

Fixed our microwave oven!
2 year old GE PEB7227ANDD started roaring and throwing out sparks. GE and most other warranties are only 1 year and a new built-in style oven was close to $700 with the $200 mounting kit. I followed Youtube diagnostics and found that the Magnetron, diode and capacitor were all still good so I fortunately didn’t buy a $150 Magnetron to see if it would fix it because it wouldn’t have. I then found a video that suggested the noise and arcing could come from a bad microwave antenna cover. These are in every microwave oven and could get worn out or contaminated with food splatter and should be replaced regularly. The official GE cover cost around $27 each but these generic ones cost much less and since the covers can be cut from a big sheet, I knew it was simple physics that the material wasn’t proprietary and that one brand will be as good as any. Sure enough, the fit was perfect and I didn’t need the nylon tabs to lock the cover in place, the slots in the oven hold it in place just fine. You can see the smaller sized cover in the $70 Hamilton Beach microwave oven we bought at Walmart to hold us over while we decided on a new built-in oven which we ended up not needing. Same type of material in the covers of all microwave ovens. Fast delivery, perfect dimensions, perfect fit and function. Someone else said you are supposed to replace these every six months (?!) but the manufacturers don’t tell you this. Regardless, if you have a stack of these stored away, it’s simple maintenance.

Perfect replacement and a five minute fix
Perfect fit for my Breville microwave and literally a five minute fix. How many microwave ovens were discarded because people think that the sparking and smoking is the death knell for the appliance. Try this replacement first.

It worked for Me.
It worked for Me. I was getting sparks in my microwave even for microwave safe dishware. It made no sense to me and frightened me to occasionally see the the microwave spark for no reason. It helped to clean the microwave totally, but it still would spark. I was intimidated to try this. I did have to cut it down a little bit to make it fit, and I could fit it in the slot snuggly then. No sparks since I put it in. I save on not having to buy a new microwave. I hate to add to the landfill if I don't have to. I have a multipack in case my current one wears out. This is a good deal for helping the environment and my wallet. Very inexpensive too.

Saved our microwave!
Glad I found these. They are made of Mica and do flake a bit, but they did the trick and are the perfect size. Just slides in perfectly where the old one was- super easy. We only had our Sharp microwave under two years and I was ready to toss it. I already moved it to the garage to take to the trash and then started researching causes of sparks. These little panels being stained and burned seemed to be a major factor. For only a few dollars I decided it was worth rolling the dice instead of buying a new microwave. It’s kind of shameful the microwave manufacturers don’t really advertise that these panels when damaged cause sparks and can be replaced. This simple replacement panel saved us a ton since we didn’t need a new microwave after all. Thank you! Good deal, fast shipping. Plenty of spares for if/when one gets dirty and damaged make these a great value, I can definitely recommend.
