Quakehold! 22111 Gel for Glass and Crystal, Clear, 4oz

Love this stuff! It works again and again to hold things where they should. Please note that it only works on flat surfaces and not on walls as it will sort of melt and pool below the item, it doesn't stay. I primarily used it in my office desk because things kept sliding and they stay put now!

This is my second time ordering QuakeHold Gel, and once again, it delivers exactly what it promises. My cat treats my decor shelves like her personal obstacle course — no matter how many times I say “no,” she’s up there, weaving between glassware like she’s training for the feline Olympics. Before finding this gel, I dreaded coming home to yet another shattered vase or ceramic. But since using Quake Hold, everything stays put. Even delicate glass items now feel secure, and I can finally decorate freely without worrying about daily disasters. It’s clear, easy to use, and holds surprisingly strong — but comes off cleanly if I ever want to move things around. I thought I'd finally outsmarted my youngest, most gremlin cat. No longer could he knock things over, not with the power of this!! And for figurines, funkopops, action figures, things with flat bottoms that can cover the putty, it still works great. And maybe it would for everything if I had a normal cat. But I don't have a normal cat, I have a chaos gremlin. The instant I secured my dice set with this, he became obsessed, and while he had difficulty removing it, fixation let him persevere long enough to win - - and while like, I don't think him eating this, as he's obsessed with attempting to do, will *harm* him exactly, I still don't want him doing it. So for most things, this works perfectly! But if your cat is insane, make sure they can't actually see the putty. It's great that it doesn't have any smell, but I now find myself wishing they had a cat repellant version, because I've not found any way to get him to stop wanting to eat it. Otherwise, is fantastic, works great, is reusable, can get stuck in carpet but harder to do that than I expected. Definitely recommend.

Great innovative product! Keep in mind you don’t need huge blob as it does spread a bit under the object! And keep in mind if does not stick to everything! But this is a good product for a little more stability for some decor! Obviously if we wanted to we are stronger than the putty and could easily knock the object over or rip it off the surface but this is great for some stability especially if you have a cat that loves to swiftly brush by your decor!

I thought this stuff was the worst. It doesn’t hold it shape. It melts out things slide off of it just didn’t do what it was supposed to do for me.

The product works well as advertised. I haven't had any issue with residue left behind, though my pieces have only been placed using the gel for about a month now. It's worth noting that while it's quite hot weather-wise in my area, I keep my home a nice 70 degrees. If heat has anything to do with the residue left behind, I wouldn't share that experience. More notably... the box that the gel came in was infested with earwigs when I received it. After opening the box, three live earwigs crawled out and I noticed tiny feces left inside the box. The box had been sealed in the Amazon packaging (bubble envelope) I received it in until the time I opened it, and the earwigs are not of the local variety. It's likely the warehouse has had issues with them, and they unfortunately got shipped to me and promptly flushed down the toilet. A quick disinfecting spray and wipe of the container later, I was using the gel to keep my trinkets on my trinket shelf.

Does a great job, 4 stars because it remains fluid longer than for just placing the item, so that if you use any more than absolutely necessary, you'll have to come back and wipe up some excess. But then acts like an adhesive, except you can remove the item with very little effort. However, if you use too little you'll have to re-apply. I thought about giving it only 4 stars for the learning curve, but once you get the amount right you never need to deal with that item again unless it's moved. Used on a display of small items that kept getting knocked around when dusted no matter how gently I tried to do it. Now, I could use vacuum cleaner! One jar will last forever unless you are a museum. Previous item I used was sticky and left a residue; this doesn't. = 5 stars

Used this in our camper for our cross country drive held down my plants amazing. Mettle not so much. It stuck to our coffee pot for the whole drive. When it was time to remove it came off very easy defiantly would buy again.

Excellent product, easy to use and apply. Holding strength seems to be good!

It doesn't hold anything, just a gel with no adhesive power

I have 3 cats and they are not who I need to worry about when it comes to knocking things over. It's 2 teenage boys who love to chase and wrestle all over the place. Quake hold has saved several photo frame, lamps and knick knacks.

A friend discovered that the museum GEL/Quakehold GEL works for diamond painting pens. (Not the Museum Wax!). It does not leave a residue and it lasts far longer than the typical typical wax that comes in the diamond painting kits. It lasts for hours at a time. You can scrape and push it in and put the extra back in your container. Or, better yet, take a little bit out and make it the depth of the pink wax pieces. Store it in a shallow bead container or small, shallow container of some sort. It doesn’t appear to dry up, but I wouldn’t recommend leaving it out for long periods of time, just to be safe. The museum gel is highly overpriced on amazon.ca, but the Quakehold is decent. It’s the same product so buy the Quakehold. Just take out a little each time and keep the rest in the original container. You can also split a jar with other diamond painting crafters. Absolutely a great product for this craft!

I use this for keeping stone artfacts in place. I've had no issues and it holds well. However if the objects you need to affix have tall feet with a small surface area, this may not be the best product for you as it flattens out like a liquid with time. For any other application, it's a wonderful gel with great hold. Sometimes when I have old gel that's too gross to be put back in the container I play with it like a toy, lol.
