Truly wide tooth. I thought my dollar store combs were wide tooth. Nope. Not compared to this but it still combs your hair. It’s plastic. My box looked like it had been opened. Didn’t feel like returning so shampooed the comb a few times. Very pretty. Large.

First of all shame on you for not promoting more because I feel like I’ve wasted hundreds of dollars over the years after one use! As a mixed woman with thick hair, even when straightened, I cannot be more brutally honest by saying this comb will surpass your expectations. How many people have typed in “extra wide tooth comb” and always find combs with the exact same width? Even though they may be great combs, like the cricket comb in my comparison photo, you still are left wondering why it feels like you’re shedding a lot of hair but my hair still isn’t combed out completely? I section my hair horizontally starting from the bottom when combing out & wether it’s wide tooth combs, denman brushes, the unbrush or detangling brushes I’m always questioning myself if I’m shedding more hair or if I’m not doing something right. This was the first time I’ve used a comb that actually detangled everything & when I combed after it’s been detangled, there was no extra hair was being pulled out or shedding, like I just went to the salon. I’m not a hair maintenance savant, nor do I have the attention span to watch tutorial videos and the arm strength or patience to make my hair as beautiful and healthy as the pros or semi pros. I’m (coughs) getting older so I’m a little more sensitive and weary about hair loss than I used to be. So I mean I know it’s normal to lose about 100 strands a day, lol but I don’t count them, I just feel a little more comfortable & confident that this comb really did its job without taking out more hair than necessary. Plus it’s under $30 & lighter to carry in my purse or mini backpack!!

As long as I can remember, I have used my fingernails for hair tools. I don’t comb or brush my hair after I use the curling iron on it, I run my fingernails through it and style it. I recently took all my nails off for a couple of days , and omg!!!, I could not fix my hair.!!! And I can’t use a pick the teeth are too close together. so I got busy looking on Amazon to see what I could find and I found this. Where has it been all of my life? I love it. Don’t know what I ever did without it. I don’t even use my fingernails anymore. I couldn’t be happier with this comb. it’s just the right size it glides through my hair. It’s perfect,and I have really thick colored coarse hair.! This probably won’t apply to too many people unless you’re old school and still love the big hair ,just thought I would give a heads up and a shout out about this great comb! it also seems pretty sturdy and I think it was very reasonably priced for everything. It does very happy Customer.

Durable and easy to use..

I love how easy this makes detangling my thick 4c hair! There is less breakage!

Comes in a cute little bag and is fun. But it just rips out my hair. And once I've combed my hair it does nothing for my curl pattern at all. Same result as a brush or regular comb.

My hair keeps getting tangled in the comb. Returned it. My hair is long, wavy, and of medium coarseness.
