Perugina Panettone, 2.2-Pound

While there is no question that Perugina Panettone is absolutely delicious and the product's quality has also been consistently excellent, I do strongly object to them raising their price from $13.99 & $15.99 and now (April 2016) all the way up to $22.99. While the demand may not possibly be as great this time of year, I refuse to pay that kind of money for the product. And that's a shame because I was a very good customer and I frequently ordered the product. this is my family's favorite brand of panettone. we have it every Christmas and new years eve. panettone is similar to the traditional german "stollen" cake. however, perugina panettone has a higher rise. panettone also has candied orange, lemon zest, citron and raisins in it. as for the cake part, it has a unique taste of an egg, brioche-like dough mixed with a champagne or sweet liquer of sorts. it is so moist and leaves your palate with a slightly "bubbly" feeling. forget about "manna" for the Gods, this is the most delicious Italian christmas cake that you will ever eat in your whole entire life. after one bite, I promise that it will definitely become one of your family traditions as well. eat and be merry- enjoy with no purchase regrets!!!

It was soft, fresh, delicious and full of fruit and nuts. Excellent quality and the price was very reasonable. Great with tea and or coffee for breaks. My whole family shared this huge bread loaf and it was received great at the party.

According to taste I would have rated it 5 stars but it was very dry. Next year I will rry another brand.

Lightly toast slices of this wonderful coffee cake in the oven, then slather butter on the slices. Yum! Divine! You can't stop at one piece of this delicious traditional Italian festive cake. Moist and delicious, warmed or room temperature. Awesome pairing? Try a slice lightly toasted in the oven, tear a piece off and place a piece of Perugina Dark Chocolate on it. YUM! Buonissimo!

This is a great cake. It was sent as a gift, and we were told that it was fresh, moist, and flavorful, even though it was purchases a couple months after the holiday season was past. We buy these every holiday season, and Perugina is one of the better brands. Recommend.

They say there's no such thing as bad beer, well i think there's no such thing as bad panettone. However I wasn't too impressed with this one. It was dry. (xmas 2014) It did make a good bread pudding though. for the price I expected more. I found better panettone at ALDI, and Sams club. And Fresh market had a good one too

This is delicious! Super fresh, and large/lasts a while. Much better than the typical grocery store holiday pannettone and nice to know it's available all year round. Missing 1 star bc I wish it was a bit cheaper.
