The videos are engaging and bring the text to life. A great read for both teenagers, parents and those who work with young people. Review: Pick it up for a quick fix, or to develop long term good habits. Easy to navigate and a confident approach to resolving a wide range of challenges. I bought it to help understand some of the issues that beset my offspring but found it a great way of approaching those 'issues' from more than one angle. Whether developing coping mechanisms or ridding the mind of perceived problems altogether it is a great guide to improving mental health and positivity.

Fantastic book covering a wide range of themes relevant to young people but in a more down to earth way than some other books I've encountered. As an Education Mental Health Practitioner, I'm sure I'm going to be using this book a lot with the young people that I work with. I'll also be recommending it for purchase by school librarians that I collaborate with as it seems as though it would be accessible for young people without the need of an adult. I can see that ACT has been one of the central inspirations for the book and I love that as it's an approach that I'm passionate about. I feel as though this book would be a great gift for any young person to have even if no specific mental health needs have been identified as I'm confident it would help as a preventative tool also. I gave it a 4 out of 5, only because there are some QR codes in the book that lead to videos which I think is a great idea but they can be quite fiddly as they require logging into a JK Publishing user account and even after doing so, I struggled to play them on my phone. Even without the videos though, this is an incredible resource.

I have done Dr. David’s CBT courses and so was very keen to read this book as a parent and GP. Was not disappointed and loved going through each chapter. It’s like a guided tour to improving mental well-being. Very easy to navigate and understand. In a language which resonates with youngsters. Will certainly be sharing it with my patients. The exercises are clear , concise and just the right dose for small sessions.

Having 2 teenage daughters this book is a must have! Full of helpful information and mini tasks, it’s a great resource that you pick up when the kids find themselves in challenging circumstances.
