Good quilityat a good price.
A real nice replacement for My old Sears Lathe. No more burnt end's with the ball bearing dead end. the spure live end fits great with no slip when turning hard wood.

Fits my old Craftsman desktop lathe
I bought these to work in my Craftsman lathe because it was missing some items. So I rolled the dice and bought this because it was a MT1 style. It fits great at both the headstock and tailstock. I'v used several pieces for several projects that works great.

Great value for the price
Morse Taper #1 fit is fine. I am using these on a restored 1941 Dunlap lathe. Bearing on the live center Is a bit rough, however it is hard to expect better bearings at this price. Wood box For the centers storage arrived in perfect shape. The points on the drive center are off slightly. I will need to fix them with a small file to make them perfect. The set came with extra center points (2) but no instruction on how to change them out. Overall the set is perfect for the weekend hobby turner and should provide adequate service. 4 star rating was given based on overall value.

Excellent Product
They work like a charm and come in a nice padded wooden case. Perfect fit in my mini wood lathe! I made 2 extra holes in the padding for the replacement tips (they didn't have a dedicated spot for them).

This got my 50 year old Craftsman lathe working again
I was recently gifted a 50 year old Craftsman Lathe. After I set it up and tried to used it, I discovered the live center was worn out and would not hold the work piece. After doing some research I determined my lathe used the MT1 standard. This was very common in 1950s , 60s, and 70s, but not today. The two live centers in this set have allowed me to get this lathe working again. I be honest though, I am new to wood turning and I don't know what the other two pieces are used for yet.

Read the description carefully
There are four centers in the set. Note that only one of them is a live center. The other three are solid, or "dead" centers.

I was hoping they were all live centres, but only one was. Had to shorten them for the taper to engage my tail stock.
