Coin has to fit through a slot in the outer casing, but there is no closure. Coin is not secure to sit centered in the plastic display window and there is a possibility that the coin could fall out and be lost. I can't recommend this item and would not buy it again.

I use it to carry an extra key fob battery on my keychain. Works well. Seems sturdy enough to last. I would recommend.

I bought this because it looked to be a better protector for my NA chip I bought for myself to celebrate my 20 yr sobriety birthday. So far it's working wonderfully! Super easy to use and my chip doesn't slide out. I don't know about durability yet because I've only been using it for 1-2 months but at this price point I'm not expecting it'll last forever. I just like the look, size, and the fact my chip fits well. I forgot: Its 2 sided so you can see both sides of your chip! I love that!! Recommend!
