Balaclava Face Mask Adjustable Windproof UV Protection Hood

I tried a couple different face masks/baclavas on Amazon for sun protection. This is by far the best one. Nice and cool and easy to breathe. Not too tight. Only slight downfall is that it reveals slightly more of my temples than I'd prefer, but that is fixable with sunglasses. Also, it's adorable when it's on.

I bought this primarily for UV protection. Fits well, breathable, eyeglasses/ goggles friendly, versatile. I would highly recommend.

When purchased, I thought this might be something heavier. It's not as light as a balaclava made by bicycle clothing companies, but it appears to be much more durable. I've found it to be much warmer than the weight would make one think. It is a little difficult breathing through with it covering the mouth and nose but I have COPD which makes any mask difficult to breathe through. You can wear glasses with this product, but you'll have to breathe strictly through your nose to keep your glasses fog free. This is problem with every balaclava I've used as well as cheaper ski masks, though prescription ski goggles would work well here without fogging. Worn with covering everything but the nose would be best if you absolutely have to have glasses to see. The fit on this is excellent for a one size fits all product and unlike others does cover your neck sufficiently to prevent drafts to all sides of your neck. It's even comfortable enough to wear on a cold night camping. I never noticed it while sleeping in a mummy bag at 23°F with only a hoody and the bag head covering I stayed plenty toast without pulling the drawstrings tight on the bag head covering or the inner shoulder seal. I seriously doubt I'll wear this in summer or without additional head covering in the winter so can't attest to said sun protection.

I love this mask! It kept the wind off of my face. It was very lightweight and durable. It was very stretchy

I bought this for summer days on the water fishing, mainly as extra sun protection that I thought might be better than those sleeves that have 62 different configurations. It looked like a nearly open weave, and loosely fitting in the pictures, but that's not really the case. The material is pretty thick with the outside showing said open weave, but the inside is almost like a very thin fleece. Not fleece-thick, but not as light as I'd expected, so I suspect it won't be as breathable as I'd wanted - even a little warm in the hot sun? Hmmm...maybe if I keep it wet. It's also WAY too tight, even for my medium-sized head. Fits great for winter I guess, but for summer I want something way looser - I need airflow in the hot sun. Well built otherwise with decent design and stitching. Recommended only if you like what you've read here. Me? I'm still looking for the right item.
