The nozzle works as advertised, except for one thing. I was unable to get the arc any smaller than 180 degrees on any of the units. In fact, the silver ring appears to do nothing at all regardless of where I set it. As a result, it soaks half my patio. There are several good videos out there that explain how to adjust the length arc, but even though I followed the instructions exactly, I was not able to get it to work. So either the arc adjustment doesn't work on this particular model or these units are mismarked and can't go down to 90 degrees. Fortunately, I can live with the 180 degrees since I only need 90 degrees in one corner.

Does the job works very well

We use irrigation (often refer to it as irritation) water which can be very silty depending upon the conditions up in the mountains. With 12 active sprinkler zones previously using Maxi Paw sprinklers, we have a LOT of sprinklers to maintain. Every year I typically find 3 or 4 Maxi Paws (out of about 30) that no longer turn properly and need to be replaced. Add to that half a dozen that need to be taken out, cleaned and put back. If you've ever had to do that, you know it's a pain in the neck. Last year we replaced half of our Maxi Paws with these MP Rotator 3000's and I have not had a SINGLE problem or had to change a setting so we've slowly been adding more as our impact sprinklers fail. Positives: Cheaper than Maxi Paws More Efficient (less water lost to evaporation) Do not need to be readjusted or cleaned every year Spray water directly in front of the sprinkler so you don't need to have spray from the opposite direction as you do with a maxi paw Easy to set Don't clog (even with our dirty irrigation water we haven't had ONE SINGLE head clog Negatives: Need to run a little bit longer than maxi's to do the same watering. We only have a few maxi's left to replace; if you're thinking about an upgrade or putting in a new system - don't even bother with impact style sprinklers; you'll thank yourself every single year.

I have had a system I have fought with for years. Low pressure coupled with with the person who installed the system trying to put too many sprinklers on a single valve resulted in patchy grass that was soaked at one end and bone dry at another. Ordered some MPs as a last ditch effort and I must say they are amazing. Better than I could have dreamed of. If you struggle with low pressure or coverage gaps these are your ticket to stress free lawn irrigation.

Bulk packaging with no instructions, but I suppose they think you should have the knowledge since your buying 5. Very good replacements or updates if you're looking to save on water.

.. endlich die BeschiXXenen Sprühköpfe von gardenas S80 regnern entsorgt und die bestehende anlage mit vernünftigen düsen ausgestattet. dachte am anfang nicht das ich ein besseres sprüh und bewässerungsbild hinbekomme, habe moch aber getäuscht. nach einem testkauf einer einzelnen düse habe ich mein ganzes system auf hunter umgestellt. auch die sogenannten "seitenstreifendüsen" sind genial und gibt es sonst nirgendwo. gardena hat sowas nicht und es lässt sich nur mit zusätzlichen gegenüberliegenden regnern realisieren das man eine 1,5meter breite und 15meter lange fläche lückenlos beregnen kann . bei gardena bräuchte ich für die fläche 6 regner und die spucken das wasser ungleichmässig auf die fläche. ein hunter seitenstreifenregner schafft genau 1,5 x 9 meter... und mit 2 regnern ist die gesammte fläche abgedeckt. wassermenge lässt sich super einstellen. hab jetzt auch umgerüstet auf beregenungscomputervon Hunter da ich mit Gardena nicht zufrieden war. Magnetventile nachgerüstet in die ehemaligen manuellleitungen und den rechner samt regensensor angeschlossen... so grün und saftig war unser garten noch nie!
