These liners are bacteria resistant. They make it easy to keep the refrigerator shelves clean and bacteria free. All I have to do is pull them out, wash, rinse, and drain them and put them back easily since they are flat and flexible. This is much easier than pulling out whole, large, rigid, awkward shelves and washing them, rinsing them, drying them, and struggling to fit them back into the refrigerator. . Also, spills on an upper shelf wouldn't leak down to all the shelves and drawers and refrigerator bottom below it. If there was a spill, only the one liner would be dirtied and need washing rather than the whole refrigerator. These liners are strong, not easily damaged, and inexpensive. So these are time-saving and keep the refrigerator more attractive, clean, and healthy.

This was an ok shelf liner. It was not as big as I thought so I had to tape 2 together to make it fit the shelf. Also it was not as thick and sturdy as I would have liked.
