I already have a one r, will the mods still be compatible with the one rs?

Yes, it's all backwards compatible. Except the one r cage when you attach a one rs battery as its slightly bigger in size.

Can i use it on jet ski ?

I don't see why not. It is supposed to be waterproof. Just make sure you secure it firmly. They don't work too well on the seabed!

Playstore reviews saying the app always crashes, can i use this camera without the app and just insert sd card to desktop windows get content?

I was also sceptical about the app because of them reviews but took the plunge to buy the insta360 anyways thinking I can always just fall back onto the pc client (not my preferred option of editting as I like to do everything on mobile). However, I can say that since owning the insta360 since about 3 weeks ago, the app has functioned flawlessly and I have not experienced any crashing or faults as mentioned in the reviews. I am using a Samsung galaxy S22 phone . I have not touched the pc client at all since the phone app can do everything and it's just easier to connect to the camera via WiFi from phone.

I am considering getting either a one rs or gopro hero 10. how does one rs compare with gopro?

Get the One RS instead of Gopro 10. One RS is more flexible because you can shoot both using the 4K lens which is very good and competes or even is better than the gopro 10 one and also you can do capture 360 footages which is where the creativity is at! The only time I would go with gopro 10 is if you thay gopro let's you upload footage to the cloud so you can store it that way. If you don't mind spending on sd cards and take time transferring clips manually to external hard drives to store then go insta360.
