I gave this a 5 star review, although I haven't had the chance to use it yet. The fit was tight and came with the pin to secure it in place. Knowing there was going to be residual water and/or waste, I put a bucket down to avoid the runout. Installing it took less than 5 minutes, locate where the hole is for the pin prior to attaching. I'll be able to drain the small sink drain tank on longer camping trips with this gate valve installed

So far this extra gate works great, easy to install, no drips, and doesn’t stick out too far. I would’ve given it a five except it is very very, very hard to get the cap off of it. It fits so tight, which is a good thing except I had to ask the park Ranger to help me at the dump station and I’ve never had to ask for help before.

What else can I say about these that hasn't already been said. They work great.

I installed this on our Winnebago 2401RG- super easy and the peace of mind of never suffering through a poopsie. Our previous rig had the black tank valve right at the end of the run, just behind the exit opening cap. This Winnebago has the valves enclosed inside the heated & insulated underbelly. The long run of cable used to open and close the valve increases the risk of not getting that black tank valve 100% closed. When this happens, some blank tank waste will enter the pipes between the tank valve and the end cap, and come out when you remove the end cap to attach your sewer hose (stinky slinky) to dump the tank. That event is a poopsie. It's something you clearly want to avoid. This devise gives you a valve on the outside of the original sewer opening. Once installed, you can safely remove the cap of the Valterra valve, attach your sewer hose, pull the Valterra gate valve, and then your black or gray tank valve .
