So hard to find - a lock for small pipe gates.
We have several cat fences. The door frame is made up of smaller pipes than most standard chain link fences. We looked everywhere for a lock that would fit the pipe. After endless searching we found these. Ordered just one to be sure it would work. Works like a charm. We have a tall gate door so we use two on each door to make sure no kitties escape. We were a little worried the lock would engage while we were inside the fence and we'd have a hard time unlatching it. But, not a problem at all. Easy to unlatch, and for the most part it latches automatically once the gate swings closed. We purchased 4. The only issue we've had with one is locking it. We have to jiggle the key a bit to get it to lock all the way, but the rest are fine. Highly suugest these. Very sturdy and well built.

Did the trick!
Someone tried to break into my privacy fence. This was the exact lock- works great! It was easy to install. I did have to purchase longer screws from Home Depot, but I think it's because there was some damage to the 'balance' of the gate.

It'll cut ya
The metal flip latch is very sharp. Two people have caught it walking by and its drawn blood. Need to cover it with duct tape or change the design to a softer more rounded piece of metal.

It's pricey but when you need the best it's worth the cost
I originally had installed a standard £5 automatic gate latch on this, but the force of the gate closing kept on pulling out the screws of the rod bit of the latch. I tried fixing it twice by drilling into the gate and gluing in a hardwood dowel to which I would screw the rod to, but even that failed eventually.In the end I decided to bite the bullet and purchase this and haven't looked back. It may seem like a simple idea of having additional screws perpendicular to the direction of the force (i.e. screws in the side of the gate), but this is the only latch I could find which had this. And latch build quality it superb and the whole thing is solid and seems like it will last for years. It does also have a lock & key mechanism, but I don't bother using it on this small gate.
