How can you tell when time to charge?

The laser pointer uses lithium batteries, which last a long time. I ordered a few extras to use as replacements when needed. The laser red dot dims somewhat and eventually dies out. We use it fir oyr kitten to play with, rynung for the red dit. He never tires if it! I've only changed the batteries once.

I dont have laptop to charge cat pen. What else could i use?
