Works great!
My typical Thanksgiving was shut down this year due to COVID. So I decided to finish a project. I blended this up with a paint sample and applied it to a wood plaque. It went on pretty easily, though it did take three coats. No priming, though. So I could sand through a few spots to get that weathered look. Inexpensive alternative to pricey chalk paint!

It turns any paint into chalk paint
I'm actually planning to order more in a couple days! Super easy to take any paint and turn it into chalk paints which will save you A LOT of money. Great product.

Great product but it might work better for darker paints
Works good but it does change the color of my white paint...added a great hue to my Swiss coffee white paint

Good for amateur furniture projects!!
This stuff is great!! I used to use the bb frosch chalk paint powder, but decided to try this since it is cheaper. I use paint samples from home depot or lowes (think they are 8 oz maybe?) and just divide the directions on the back in half and that is usually enough for small furniture projects. Has saved me a lot of money!! Not experienced enough with furniture flipping to say if this stuff really compares to annie sloan or buying real chalk paint, but i say it’s at least worth a shot. I like using the general finishes flat out flat top coat on top!!

Not Horrible, but Not Perfect, Either...
This isn't horrible, I will likely buy again because of cost, but it's not the easiest to work with. It's hard to mix, even with extra water. No matter how much I shake or stir the batter into the paint I'm using, I'm still left with brown clumps and stuff clinging to the sides of the jars I use for mixing. That said, I haven't noticed it being super awkward to work with... Just have to fish a bit of clump out here and there while working on a project. Straining the paint after this is added would probably help quite a bit. (Why this only JUST occurred to me while typing, I have no idea.) But also, that's a pretty annoying extra step to have to take. I was really put off by the tan color, but personally haven't noticed it shifting acrylic colors TOO much. Some of the white powders really lighten paint colors quite a lot, so I was pleasantly surprised on that front. It's not perfect, but cost is appealing and it seems to make normal acrylic paint behave like chalk paint. Additive helps paint cling decently to slicker surfaces and the finish is what you'd expect from any chalk paint.

GREAT PRODUCT!!!!!
We hung a cabinet with glass doors on the wall and wanted the inside to match our wall paint color. Loving chalk paint on wood, I came a crossed this product. I followed the directions and added it to our wall paint. SO HAPPY with the results!! It was easy. A little goes a long way! I highly recommend!!!

The product works well!
I was hesitant about the product and it’s ability to do what it claimed it could. I was delightfully satisfied in the results. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who chalk paints.

One product multiple projects highly recommend
I sanded down this worn out table, mixed the powder with a regular interior black paint that I happen to have in the garage. Went on really well, two coats, but no brushstrokes bubbles or drips. Topped off with the wax they recommend. Best part is now I have powder left for other products and was not stuck with one can of a specific color chalk paint

This is a fantastic product, make use of old paint you have or pic the exact color of paint you want and just add this, easy to use and effective and a lot cheaper then buying premade chalk paint.

I used this in plain artist acrylic paint and it worked so well! The paint is now a flat matte, chalk-like finish and what I like about this product is I can now have any colour I like made into a chalk-like finish paint! I am only limited to my imagination for colour and a few mathematical formulas so I know how much powder to mix up - I am so happy this product exists!!!

Worked beautifully! Mixed the chalk powder with a little water until it was a creamy consistency and then mixed it into a half gallon of white satin/eggshell latex paint. We painted a China Cabinet, large dresser and a side table with 3-4 coats each, and we still have paint left! We then finished it off with a coat of wax. The finish is lovely and seems durable. We distressed the China cabinet edges but not the dresser / end table... those we left as clean and pristine. Overall, I’m really impressed with the chalk additive and will continue to mix my own chalk paint this way. It seems to cling well to a clean wooden surface, with no sanding. My only advice is to add water to thin out the paint mixture if and when it starts to get thick. This is much more economical than buying small containers of chalk paint elsewhere and works very well. Thumbs up!

I didn't use the product yet. I needed to do a paint job this weekend and I didn't use it because on instructions it advises to wait 3 hours for each coat. I needed to finish the job so I used the calcium carbonate which I ordered thru Amazon. Once I have more time I will use the product and advise.
