Sky Color

Loved the book. The story line is simple and to the point, and the illustrations are delightful. Anyone interested in creative expression should read this.

Beautiful written and illustrated book. My young students enjoyed the expressionism that was happily illustrated and written about in the text. They loved the little characters and we’re keen to imitate coloring their pictures with whatever colors they loved. Very effective book and I’m glad that I ordered it.

Very inspirational for a young budding artist who has doubts about her talents.

I like Sky Color, and also Ish, because Peter Reynolds tells a story of kids who are frustrated because their art might not be what they initially expect it to be. This was an important issue to address with my four year old perfectionist. In Sky Color, Marisol has to figure out how to paint a sky without the color blue. The text encourages kids to look beyond the traditional expectations of "Skies are blue" that the world tries to hammer into them.

I first saw this book displayed at an art exhibit and thought it was a charming story. I bought it for my little three-year-old niece who loves art. I highly recommend this for children who know their colors and can also understand the dilemma of the character in the story who wants to paint a sky but can't find any blue paint. The results are wonderful.

Beautiful illustrations to go along with a wonderfully creative lesson. I am a huge fan of Peter H. Reynolds. This is the third book that I have purchased as a project for my children. This one is for my youngest - I am having her teachers sign it throughout the years and will be giving to her as a graduation gift (similar to what some do with another story but I prefer Peter H. Reynolds stories for this because of the lessons and "out of the box" thinking with encouragement they have)

Great books.. lovely symbolism and perfect to use with kids who give up too easily.

Book arrived on time in good condition. I will use this book for teaching kindergarten aged children that creative works can be made into anything the children put their minds to. Spark creativity in the youngest of learners and artists. Art is a form that expresses feelings and emotions in a wide range of ways. Highly reccomend to any age for all educators. The main characters shows us that any colour can be "Sky Colour".

The book is lovely, unfortunately the price I paid for it was beqrly double the sticker price mentioned on the book. Very upsetting

Como todo lo que hace Peter H. Reynolds. Sencillamente perfecto. Me encantó "El punto" (The dot), adoro "Casi" (Ish) y ahora disfruto con "Skycolor".
