Seems You Need a Teacher
The book is excellent in that it is full of practice opportunities. Tracing and freehand and putting things together. Problem is it does not explain much at all in terms what you are actually doing. Seems like it is the perfect companion if you are already taking a class or have a teacher and are looking for more practice. But on its own I was completely lost. Definitely not a language learning book.

Excellent
An easy, fun way to learn and these pages. I am teaching myself Arabic as an English speaker and have found most of the workbooks on Amazon to be one of the ways that I’m going to learn the language along with tons of hours of YouTube and research.

This is a very good book to get you used to forming and recognizing letters. It does require some work on the learners part since there is no companion teacher book (hint), however by the time I was 1/3 through I was sounding out the words without relying on the english or YouTube explanations and able to recognize letters. Consistency and practice are the key. Highly recommend to anyone who knows a little arabic speech but wants to start writing. Such a beautiful written language. This is modern standard university arabic so some words would never be commonly used, especially in egyptian dialect which is my focus, but it does a good job of the basics. You can learn the slang later.

This is easy to use, basic alphabet and some words to learn. If you’re starting to learn or a child learning it’s easy to read and lots of space to practice. I recommend it.
