Great little device!
This is an ingenious little piece of engineering right here. I purchased two of these, one for use on my camelbak to mount a SOG mini Pentagon on the shoulder strap, and another for whatever else I might see the need for, because im sure ill find a need soon enough. The thumb safety or lock is truly a lock. It keeps the two outer tabs that clip the lower plate to the upper plate and lock the device in the closed position, while easy enough to quickly disengage. Its a little difficult to explain, but you'll see it as soon as you see the a tek lok in person. It is a very useful feature to have, not only as an added level of protection against the tek lok accidentally falling off, but also very useful when trying to wrestle it onto a padded strap that's a little too big. Overall the Tek Lok is a great little mounting device, very usable and very well constructed. A few points to keep in mind: -Distance between mounting holes (on center) is: 3/4 inch. -Maximum strap width and height (see below): 2 3/8 inch x 1/4 inch. -Padded shoulder straps, such as my camelbak or a similar system are a bit of a stretch for the Tek Lok. As I just noted the distance between the upper and lower plates of the tek lok is 1/4 inch. So the padding will have to be compressed if it is over that, and if its padded chances are good that the strap will be thicker than 1/4 inch. -Three sets of studs, screws, and rubber washers are included. -Two removable spacers are also included. These are perfect for mounting the tek lok on a belt or strap that is less than the maximum 2 3/8 wide. There are 8 slots in which they can be placed on the bottom plate of the tek lok to accommodate any width belt or desired offset.

A little bulky but gets the job done perfectly!
Had to modify my holster a bit so I could keep my holster set at an angle, but it was no fault of the product. It fit fine afterward and **is** a little bulky, but considering what it's meant for, I have zero complaints! There are no more issues with the holster flying or sliding off the belt, so I'm happy!

Tek Lok
I purchased this item specifically for my BK2 companion. It seems to be well made and is quite functional. I had zero issues with mounting/ aligning it to the stock BK2 sheath with one caveat. Why 4 stars instead of 5? Mainly because I cannot carry the knife as I actually intended to. The grommets on the BK2 sheath are not the same OD on both sides. The Tek Lok fits perfectly and interlocks with the sheath only on the smaller side (grommets) configuration. At least on my BK2, this limitation makes it difficult to Scout carry for a right handed person. With all that said, this is still a good product and an absolute must have upgrade for the BK2. IMHO.

Works Great on my KA-BAR BK2 & ESEE3
I bought this to replace the terrible sheath loop that came with my Ka-Bar BK2. The Tek-Lok is sturdy and allows you to bolt to all three mounting holes on the sheath. I noticed that mounting on the lowest row of the Tek-Lok causes the sheath tension lock to bump up against the Tek-Lok. This makes it a little harder to pull the knife out of the sheath. This is more due to the design of the tension lock on the sheath as it expands outward when you remove the knife. I have not put the Tek-Lok to a lot of use yet. However, so far it seems really sturdy. To put it on your Ka-Bar BK2 sheath. 1. Remove the loop holder from the sheath (4 screws). 2. Using a 13/64 the drill bit. Drill the flange portion off of the loop holder. Do not drill rivet heads. You only have to remove enough of the flange to hit the washer. 3. Using a 1/16th punch, tap out the rivets. This will leave the three holes undamaged so you can attach the Tek-Lok. Once you find a mounting position you like. Consider using a little of the "Threadlocker Blue 242" Loctite to secure the screws. 14 April 2013 I bought a second Tek Lok for my EDC(Every Day Carry). I use the Tek Lok to side carry my ESEE 3. I have used it for over a month with no issues. I did notice if you want to vertical carry the ESEE 3 you need to use the rubber washers to have the Tek Lok clamp evenly on the ESEE 3 sheath. I weak side (left) horizontally carry the ESEE 3 using the Tek Lok without issue. I use the bottom row of the Tek Lok with two screws mounted on the blade side of the sheath. It is a comfortable fit and offers easy access to the knife. I wear a 1 1/2 inch belt. I found moving the "Belt spacers?" to the bottom of the Tek Lok allowed the ESEE 3 to ride more comfortably in a side carry fashion.

Perfect for ESEE 4 stock sheath
Awesome produce. Fits Esee 4 stock sheath perfectly. Ordered one with hardware. Don't really need the screws as I used the original screws that came with the Esee 4 sheath. I did however used the two spacers. You don't need the spacers but if you like it to look more aesthetically pleasing, then the spacers are needed.

Great product ๐๐ผ
Worked as intended, connected it to a knife that came with a crappy belt clip that broke. Definitely an upgrade. Will always use these now for knives in the future. Build quality is great. Been holding up to everyday wear on the hip for about 6 months now.
