Core i5 i5-12600 3.30 GHz Processor - Retail Pack

Has been a good reliable processor and is outlasting my motherboard. I have not used it for overclocking so temperature and power has never been an issue for me, even in a house that frequently reaches 88 degrees in summer. Having a built in gpu has also been very nice when trying to troubleshoot my system build. Speed is adequate for use with my rtx4080 for both fps gaming and video processing. I did not use the included cooler do to the temperature here so I don't have any comments about it.

But, there is little difference in browsing speed compared to my 2010 core i 860 cpu. Good value for money and considering how well my 2010 computer has been, this should be good for many years. It is compatible with windows 11, however after trying win 11, I went back to win 10. I guess its probably a pretty good gaming cpu, but I don't play games.

Great for gaming

I like that this CPU is much faster that my older AMD4600. What I don't like is that when under heavy load, such as video processing, it runs super hot. Hot enough that the included air cooler is no where near adequate. Temps would top out over 90C before I shut it down. That's just too hot. Had to get a Noctura air cooler that actually keeps the CPU temps down to around 58-60C under heavy load. Wanted water cooler but wouldn't fit case. Still a good CPU with adequate cooling. BTW, there is hack for the motherboard CPU mount using small 1mm washers that really helps with cooling.

This CPU is more than enough for most use cases out there. Chews through everything I through at it.

This cpu rock. It's very cool for me it runs between 30c idle and on heavy load 56c.

Had a broken fan blade on the cooler and the box didn't have a blemish or scratch on it. It was obviously broken in the factory. I was planning on using the stock cooler for a while until I saved up for something else. I paired it up with a 3060 and for some reason idk it has just awful 2d performance.

This is an excellent CPU with great value for the price. The only downside is the OEM heatsink that comes with it: the fan it extremely loud. Don't waste any time with it and dunk that boy into the nearest trash bin; you don't want it. I'm not one that cares much about sound but - oh my - it is LOUD.
