Carbon Boss .223 Carbon Removal Multitool, Model Number: AVCARBAR15

This tool is great. When I first looked at it I thought it might be entirely too much going on to use it fast. However once you get the hang of where everything is located you can move fast with it. It really only has 3 sides being a triangle and the center that you use for cleaning. Because some sides have so many purposes you can remove a lot of carbon and move between multiple builds quite quickly. My only complaint is the bolt tail carbon scraper on the side didn't get all the carbon off of my bolt tail on my pistol build. I have my pistol build gassed properly and it ejects at 4 o clock so it isn't getting unnecessary carbon fouling. Just likely the name of the game when using a shorter barrel. Otherwise it cleans up every part you'd expect and then some. One thing they don't make apparent on the packaging is the cotter pin puller is also the bolt face scraper. It works perfectly on there with the cotter pin puller even scraping under the extractor. I think every ar15 owner should have at least one of these whether it stays in a bug out bag or what.

This thing is pretty nice. Every party works great for scraping carbon off your BCG. I will continue to use it and keep on my range bag.

I'm pretty new to AR15's, so I can't quite figure out how to use all of the cleaning tools, but the ones I have figured out work very well. And the price can't be beat! Compare it to some of the one-use items and there is no comparison. Definitely a nice tool that is also handy in the backpack or tool bench.

Cleans every part of the bolt and bolt carrier. Have this in your cleaning bag.

I wish I would have had this back in basic training. Rather than spending hours cleaning my weapon only for my Drill Sergeant to reject it, if I would only had one of these I would have been at chow in no time. Truly I am very impressed with this tool. I just bought me a brand new Smith & Wesson M&P 15 just a couple of weeks ago, because I miss my old M4 I carried in Iraq. Took my M&P out to the range and clean the hell out of it... or so I thought. This tool actually put my cleaning efforts to shame oh, it found carbon on my bolt assembly that I couldn't even see. Well done and I would buy again in a heartbeat.

I used this Carbon Boss tool to clean a few of my AR15s and it was fantastic! I really like having so many tools built into one. Every single tool on this is very useful, I really liked the carbon scrapers. Sure they don't get everything off, but using this as part of the cleaning process was a big help. It is also handy to take the range with you since it's got so many tools in one convenient package! I love all my Real Avid tools!

This is such a well designed and compact tool! This multi-tool really does help you easily and thoroughly clean each area of your BCG. Construction of the tool feels solid and built to last, and the included carrying case is helpful for keeping in your range badge without scuffing the finish of your firearms. The instructions were helpful but could have gone into more detail on all the different uses or include a QR code that likes to an instructional video. I am thinking of giving this as a gift to a friend who just purchased his first AR.

In my opinion this is THE Cleaning tool for AR15 Bolt, perfect in every detail, the cleaning becomes fast, effective. Best if combined with specific foams in order to be even faster. What was once a lot of scraping with different tools now is an organized 10 mins job. Highly recommended.
