Excellent piece of kit for film photographers
So I got this full kit because it wasn't too much more than the individual kits. And I am very glad about that. Firstly, the LED light is a godsend. Without it you cannot get good consistent results, and it is very worth the money. Secondly, the components seem to be made quite well. There are a lot of metal tubes etc and the plastics are all quite sturdy and do not feel cheaply made. Thirdly, and this is a bit of a negative as well, the kit come really full accessorized. There are a ton of spare rings and parts to accommodate different cameras and lenses. This can be a bit of a pain as you have to figure out everything but once done its OK. And everything come packed well and in separate boxes so putting things away is not an issue. (In fact I would recommend you do that so that nothing gets lost!) The instructions are a weak point but you can figure them out. I used a Nikon D810 with a 50mm lens and Kenko extension tubes. The instructions don't cover such a combo so it took me a bit to figure it out but it worked fine in the end. I got very good consistent results, and once set up, the work flow was super fast. Focus manually on the grain and you can get through negatives very very fast. The main issue I had was in the conversion from negative to positive in Camera Raw. After a few initial trys of using curves, I switched to JPEG instead and simply let Photoshop do the inversion. Which was much much faster and frankly better. So processing will vary from people to people and media to media. But for anyone who has a lot of negatives or slides and want to digitize them this is a very good solution and Highly Recommended.

Good way to copy slides to digital pictures
There are many slides that I have and want to convert to digital pictures. I wanted a quick and easy to use system. The use of a scanner gives reasonable results, but is very slow. This colection of tubes and adapters should allow me to do this with my Panasonic DMC-G80. I am trying different combinations of adapters and lenses, especially macro lenses, to find a way to do this. There seems to be a possible combination that will allow me to convert my large collection of slides to digital pictures.

Slide Copier
This is a super bit of kit which is a third of the price of a better marketed competitor. It is only good value if you already have a camera and a macro lens. If you don't a flat bed scanner might be worth consideration. Have seen reviewers concerned about light leakage - there are two positions for the slide carrier one on the tube which is light tight, the second in front of the light box which is the one I use. The sides are readily closed with black paper/masking tape (if concerned), but use the light on max and subdued or shady light there's no problem. Worth spending time getting the slide holder aligned but a minor inconvenience. You get what you pay for and this does a cracking job used sensibly and is going to be far better/easier/more convenient than using a copying stand. Near perfect at a great price. Once you have copied all your slides, you should have no difficulty selling it on....or, keep to copy negatives.

Various issues especially with the slide holder.
I used this item with my Lumix FZ1002 Bridge Camera, which takes a 62mm filter. This item is not designed for my camera, and I found that I could not fill the frame with the slide image using the camera's macro zoom. The minimum distance between the slide and the lens was too great. It is fiddly to fasten the item to the filter thread and I was concerned that the amount of force that using the device placed on the filter ring and lens were greater than the camera was designed for. I might have considered using it nevertheless, except that the slide carrier and the mechanism that holds it in place were not good enough. It was stiff to use but crucially, the alignment of the slide was to fiddly and unreliable. Also there seemed to me to be a degree of keystoning caused by the top and bottom of the slide not being the same distance from the lens. Regarding the LED light, I had two issues. First, the light got very hot, after quite brief periods of use, which seems odd for an LED light. Second, when I set the camera white balance to 6500k, which is the the colour temperature described in the spec, the resulting colours were unnatural.

Works very well.
This negative copier works great and its fast to use, once you get it set up. At the moment I am using a 50mm lens and adaptor with a extension tube on My G9. This set up is quick to use and the results are better than the dedicated negative scanner I have been using. The LED light has brightness settings on the control to get the light just right and can run off any USB out put. No negatives so far, well made and does the job.

Good enough for what it is
It's a little bit flimsy and has potential for light leaks, but does the job.

Ideal for quickly transfering film to digital
A great solution vs using a scanner. Was able to photograph a whole roll of film in a matter of minutes compared to the speed of using a flatbed scanner (higher resolution compared to using a scanner too)

This is a great investment
This is a great investment, I need something to convert some tranparancies to digital, works well with my Olympus E510 and Tamron 90mm macro lens (not using the extension tubes). My long term plane is to upgrade my Camera to the OM 1 Mk lll when it becomes available and use the 60mm Zuiko macro lens, with the tubes. The results I have had up to now have been good at converting my Dads transparencies form the 1960/70.
