Actually the day i received this I ordered a second one. I use one to coarsely grind pink Himalayan salt and the other to custom grind 4 color peppercorns from cracked to fine. It works great so far. I use it for food prep mostly, and I use them a lot, but could use it at table. I use a hand pepper mill at table. Tradition. But this makes grinding greater amounts of seasoning needed for cooking or plating meals much less formidable and has improved the quality of my meals already. Attractive and well made as well.

I switched to these battery operated, one button mills for salt and pepper due to neck, joint, arm & hand pain following spinal surgery. Wow! What a difference these mills make for meal prep. A real life saver. So easy to use! Giftable for anyone esp. those w/spinal & joint pain. I wish I had found these ages ago. Easy to fill & replace batteries. Uses 4 AA batteries. Rubber base cap does not stay on & we found it easier to buy an acrylic caddy with a handle to sit the mills in near the stove for cooking. They are now easy to transport to the dinner table. Wish there was a caddy for sale with a set of mills but we pulled it together ourselves. Great mills. Great gift.

Looks good and worked off and on, but now I see I just wasted my money on it. I’ve replaced batteries multiple times which is ridiculous since I’m the only user and only need a couple times a week. Now after 11 months, it’s not working no matter how many new batteries I insert. It’s junk! I do not recommend!

Only four stars because I haven't had it too long and these things tend to die quickly. So far this one works beautifully, I love the light feature so you can see how much (salt in my case) you're putting on. I haven't figured out how to change the grain size, but that's my own fault. I'll update in a couple months and if it's still holding up, 5 stars.

This salt and pepper grinder does a fabulous job. I bought only 1 at first (for salt) and have since bought another one for pepper. It is easy to use, easy to refill and has a sleek/smart look as well. As an older person, I look for products to make my life easier and this grinder fits that criteria. I would definitely encourage anyone, young or a bit older, to get this. It will definitely help and be a favorite addition to your kitchen.

If you love to cook, then you know the flavor of freshly ground black pepper, versus the pre-ground stuff - and there is no comparison. The problem, for me, has always been grinding the pepper fresh. I've had a manual pepper mill for years, and while I've used it, I have to admit there have been times I felt that it's just too much work (e.g. - peppering both sides of 3 large steaks). I recently bought the Latent Epicure salt / pepper grinder, to make grinding fresh pepper simple, and it does just that! The grinder is very simple to work: put in 4, AA batteries, add fresh peppercorns in the barrel of the grinder, adjust the coarseness / fineness to your desired liking, push the button on top, and out comes wonderful smelling, and tasting, freshly ground, black pepper! No more working my hands and wrists to death trying to work an old, manual pepper mill! I truly find the taste of freshly ground peppercorns so superior to the store bought, pre-ground stuff! One of the first things I did, after getting my pepper grinder, was make hamburgers for friends, seasoning them with salt, and freshly ground black pepper! Try using a manual pepper mill to season 8 hamburgers, both front and back! No WAY! With the Latent Epicure, electronic pepper mill, all I had to do was push a button, and out comes freshly ground pepper, without all the hard work! I wish I had done this long ago! One of the other reasons I bought this product was because of the reviews it has gotten, and how people have said that if there are ANY problems, the company that sells the product will quickly resolve the issue, typically sending a replacement unit! Now, that is service, and standing behind what you sell! So, I have a great product, and I have the peace of mind, knowing that if I ever have issues with the unit, that the company selling the unit will help me out! I'm very happy with this product!

Product is a good purchase for the price paid. It is very easy to use * refill , grind pepper/salt , and is also easy to clean.

Looks nice and grinds fine, but slower than my previous electric mill. The light is not very bright at all (again, last one I had was awesome) But good for the price

Now, I'm sure like many of you, I was wondering if there was any point to an electric pepper grinder (haven't tested for salt) over just a normal nice manual one. HOWEVER, I really do like this product and the functionality it brings. This is easy to open and put fresh peppercorns in and then with a simple hold of the button on top, it starts grinding. With this model, you can also adjust the coarseness of the grind which is really helpful when doing different meals. It's hard to explain why, but you truly cannot go back from having an electric grinder. The only way to describe it is if you have to manually mix things with a whisk and then you upgrade to a stand mixer. Ok, it costs more, but you can never go back.

Item seems well, works fine and very easy though I find it takes a while to get the desired amount of ground pepper, I was hoping for something more but it's fine.

DO NOT BUY. This thing barely ground pepper. Frustratingly slow and just produced a few barely cracked corns. Then after just over two years, the clear plastic centre part snapped just above the threading meaning it can no longer be closed. THIS IS NOW LANDFILL. Purchased Sept 21, 2021 and now garbage.
