I have been searching FOREVER for a clean sunscreen that would work for my light medium skin tone & literally nothing would work...until I found this gem! I tried chemical sunscreens to avoid white-cast, but I just hated the non-clean ingredients when it came to those & then I started breaking out from them, so I KNEW I needed a mineral sunscreen. I tried TONS of mineral sunscreens, & there was not a single one that left me with no white-cast, no matter what I did or how I applied it. Then, I tried looking into tinted mineral sunscreens because I knew I had to get tinted options to avoid the white-cast. The issue that came with that was how weird it looked with my skin tone. For example, I tried Australian Gold, but it felt sooo dry & matte on my skin (I have dry skin) & the biggest issue was how orange & darker than my regular skin tone I looked with it. FINALLYYY I found this brand & the first thing I loved was how CLEAN the ingredients are! I am HUGE on making sure my products I consume & apply are non-toxic, so that was a huge pro. On top of that, this shade is AMAZING it did not change my original skin tone at all & it looks like I'm not wearing sunscreen (in the best way possible aka it has ZERO white-case whatsoever!!!) this is such a big deal for me & I AM SO HAPPY I FINALLY FOUND A PRODUCT THAT WORKS FOR ME <3 I saw lots of reviews saying it broke them out, but, fortunately, I am not allergic to gluten, so I am fine, but if you have a gluten allergy, this won't work for you because of the wheat germ oil in the ingredients. All the oils don't affect me too much because I have drier skin, so it actually really helps, but I will edit my review if I notice any breakouts from this. The liquid texture is nice, but I am weary of if the liquid texture gives me proper sun protection, so I apply 3 finger-lengths, instead of the recommended 2 finger lengths, which means more product needed on a daily basis, which makes this quite pricey because it is smaller than I thought it would be. I would not change the texture, though, because it just feels better than the matte/lotiony sunscreens in my opinion, but I just hope it could be bigger or a bit cheaper, but I appreciate this brand so much for being so clean & great for my skin, so I am okay with paying for how good quality this is! I was sad to return this product. It was overtly advertised “for sensitive skin.” It applies beautifully. Not greasy. The tint color and smoothing properties were very complimentary to my skin. I just wish it did not sting my sensitive face! I’m not a chemist. I’ve never had allergy testing performed. There is probably an ingredient I am allergic to in this formula, I just don’t know which ingredient. All I know is… since I was a kid, I have had a wicked stinging sensation on my face with certain blocks. Oddly enough, it’s only face that stings. No other body part stings (hands, arms, chest). Anyway. I am sad to return, bc it had the best tint of all the sunblocks i tried. It just felt like it was burning my face off. La Roche Posay tint did NOT burn me. So I will stick with that. I am leaving one star only bc it’s advertised for sensitive skin. It’s not this sunblock’s fault I have sensitive skin. But it’s annoying that it’s marketed FOR sensitive skin if it stings. (I am not the only review that says this.). Plenty of blocks DO NOT STING (such as Neutrogena Sensitive. La Roche Posay, All Good, Think Sport and several others I have tried). Anyway. It you don’t have sensitive skin, the coverage on this formula is great. Just dont advertise “For sensitive skin.”

I've always used a LaRoche sunscreen that is both pricey and chemical-laden (even the zinc option), but I liked how sheer and lightweight it was. I finally decided to do an EWG search for a clean sunscreen, and found that Babo, a brand I rely on for my children's sunscreen, also makes sunscreen options for adults. I purchased this Babo Botanicals Daily Sheer Tinted Mineral Sunscreen for its zinc properties and light tint. So far I've been very impressed; it's extremely easy to apply and blend, and it doesn't settle into creases or leave a greasy finish. The tint is VERY light on my skin; I'm a full makeup girly and I would not consider this comparable to a foundation; it's definitely more like a skin tint. I love that it is compositionally cleaner than my previous sunscreens, and also more affordable! It doesn't have a strong scent and I love that it leaves a dry finish so you don't feel like you're applying makeup to an oil slick. I will definitely keep using and recommend for anyone looking to avoid applying common icky chemicals onto your largest and most absorbent organ.

I’m surprised by all the reviews that say this sunscreen has a greasy finish. I’ve been looking for years for a face sunscreen that’s not greasy, and this particular Babo product is it. Maybe a slightly dewy finish but definitely not shiny or greasy like most moisturizing sunscreens—and I use this after applying a moisturizer. I wondered it the shade would be too dark for me and it is. I can wear it but it’s not ideal. On the plus side, it blends easily, is very sheer, and there’s no white cast, even with the high zinc content. I also have very sensitive skin and I’ve had no allergic reactions. The bottle doesn’t drip or leak, making it easy to apply anywhere, even in the car. It dries quickly so I don’t leave sunscreen fingerprints on everything. I haven’t had an opportunity to test it by spending time outside on a full-sun day but I get pink after 5 minutes on cloudy days and this product has protected me so far. I’ve been happy with the SPF performance of other Babo products so I’m hoping for the best. The EWG verification is rare for sunscreens and that’s a definite plus. .

I’ve worked for skincare companies for over 20 years. My skin since I was a little girl has been so sensitive. Now I have rosacea and eczema. I've been using this product for almost two years!! So far it has been my everyday sunscreen for my face and hasn't given me any reaction or rash like so many others has.

The best tinted spf i have ever used i love it , it is watery but i love the feeling once it’s on my face. Put it right on your face instead of hand then face because it splatters onto your clothes thins laying next to you

This is a very watery sunscreen; I've found it best to apply directly onto the face rather than have it run through my fingers but it is easy to apply. It goes on a bit sticky but does dry down and the tint is not too dark for Fitzpatrick Scale III or too light for IV. I have sensitive skin and sometimes feel a momentary tingling around the hairline or nose. On the plus side: it looks very natural and is fairly easy to layer second and third applications throughout the day. Still not as good as my holy grail eltaMD UV clear but is IS a whole lot cheaper. UPDATE: I had to downgrade my rating of this sunscreen because it causes a mild irritation (light stinging, itching) on my skin. I tried it several times, waiting at least 20 minutes after moisturizer to be sure it wasn't something else but no, it only happens after I apply this. Bummer.

I tried this sunscreen and loved the color and texture. It seemed like a winner. By the evening when I took my makeup off my face and neck were bright red. My face started swelling and by the next morning looked like I had instantly gained 50 pounds. I'm on day two, I'm still red and itchy and now my eyes are swollen like slits. My lips are hard to see because I'm so swollen around my mouth. My skin feels thick and just awful. I'm not saying this is a bad sunscreen but I highly recommend you try it when you do not have someplace important to go for a few days, and do a patch test first. It didn't burn when I put it on and seemed fine for a few hours but then things went really bad. I have no idea when this will clear up and I'm embarrassed to go anywhere because I look like a freak. I wish I had read more of the reviews a few pages in before purchasing. I'm not the only one with a reaction.

No tuve ninguna reacción alergica, buscaba un producto que no fuera dañino y la verdad es que la textura me gustó más que otros bloqueadores que he usado, ya que no es grasoso y se me adaptó bien porque mi piel es grasa, me daba miedo que el tono no me quedara ya que en la imagen se ve muy oscuro y yo soy blanca, pero el tono se adapta muy bien en la piel.

No funciona. Lo compré para mi viaje y me queme horrible. Ni siquiera me meti al agua ni sude mucho. Me lo reaplicaba cada 3 horas. Dinero a la basura.
